Is it your understanding that the rural areas of the country subsidize the urban areas, generally speaking? Because that’s actually the opposite of reality, but a pretty common misunderstanding* among a lot of folks.

Bret Easton Ellis continues to amuse me with his (sadly no longer free) podcast. I find him utterly comforting in this current political climate, a soothing voice in a sea of belligerent trolls and shrieking sissies.

It sure seems the advice to not wash chicken is based on actual data studied by epidemiologists, while the counterpoint insistence that washing is both necessary and proper is based on some combination of ingrained habit and belief that not doing so is “nasty.”

It was a surprise.  If you read the article, they closed because they couldn’t obtain a business loan, not because of any sale.  The property remains unsold at this time.

But you understand that a podcast about an effort to solve a murder and/or identify a victim is seeking a different goal than a podcast about exposing all the ways that the original investigation failed, right? You’re complaining that a wrench isn’t a screwdriver.

Investigating every person who worked for and/or knew a landowner takes ZERO resources? I’m not so sure about that.
