That took an odd turn at the very end of your comment. It sounds like you had no reason at all to believe the accusation, and yet you do. It sounds like there might be more to this story.

It did seem like a non-sequitur, especially given your feeling that he was grooming you and your friends.

As a general rule, data from an e-mail forward / chain letter is suspect on its face.

This comment reminds me of the time my Alzheimers-stricken and senile grandmother once said at a funeral, "This is nice. The family really should get together like this more often."
