His approval rating peaked at around 80% after Sandy and he won re-election with 60% of the vote in a fairly blue state. It’s hard to conceive of because he finished as possibly the least popular governor in US history, but there was a point in time when he was well liked.
Christie’s fall from one of the most popular governors in the country to one of its least popular politicians is stunning. Was there even one event, like Bridge gate, that caused it? Or was it just that we all got tired of Chris Christie?
