Crank windows quite frequently fail as well. Ive never had a power window actually come out of its track, for example.

I suspect you are a young-un, but Ive had many a door panel apart, Ive had many a vice-grips where window crank handles used to be, Ive replacd many parts. A power window is no more complex than a

It even looks cool - even if you are too young to get the retro-nostalgia look of the wood-grain version (which I’d certainly spring for).
