“Since there is no cartridge port, that suggests emulation... ...sounds like a set top Android console to me. A Shield. A Ouya. Whatever that Mad Catz one was.”

I live in Buffalo, snow capital. I am with you on that one!
Then you fix them! Just like any other part of the car. There’s zero voodoo going on, don’t be skeered! Lol
Laugh at the “only 127 hp” if you like, but you’ve never heard such a glorious musical symphonic roar as a 1995 Civic 1.6 VTEC with a quiet exhaust (mine was a stainless JDM kit with a huge midpipe resonator as well as muffler... apparently there’s tight noise regs in Japan) and an aluminum aftermarket intake tube…
My dad says the same about crank windows.
It’s a track car.
I hate the color, but if you’ve ever priced these out (I have - actively - for years... Ebay, Craigslist, auto trader) this one is rock bottom AND in nice shape.
A Veloster with another hundred horsepower would be a “hot hatch” - agreed.
This i30 is not a “hot hatch”, it’s a wagon built to try to steal family-toting Audi A3 customers. Not a thing about it (including the motor) is engineered to appeal to the young.
It’s RIGHT at the upper limit for a clean VW, believe it or not. Which is ok, since this one is very clean. But I’ve seen nicer for less.
Look closer.
The Land Cruiser is an $87,000 truck. Let’s not be shocked.
“Whose car is that?”
Your reply conflicts me:
Simple: They go with the car.
I don’t care if it was $300k brand new - it’s an ‘08, which is not only older than my car now, but the car I drove for 7 years and finally sold 3 years ago to buy the car I’m driving now... And even that wasn’t close to 100k on the clock, much less 125k!
It might be 1/10th what a Porsche costs, but it’s 400% what a clean VW costsn
BMW used to be the reference standard - especially the M3. And every automotive publication said so, and had the numbers and experiences to back it up. Of course sales were high - they made the best cars.
I mean... meh!
I’m a longtime air-cooled VW enthusiast, I’m also a modern technology geek and electric car fan. I should love this.
But the picture you used says it all... look at it. Really look at it.
The VW bus they show has some personality, it has soul, it has presence.
The electric wannabe-copy just looks soulless.…
It’s a bit like saying “this cruise ship will be just as fun to drive as a speedboat - because (even though the expense was ludicrous) it can accelerate like a speedboat!”
I actually left Facebook entirely, before the election even. Couldn’t take exactly this...
