I had a car that called for 90... Based on how they establish those ratings with safety margins that keep warranty claims low, 89 is close enough, unless perhaps you drive aggressively.

First off - Where the WTF is gas only $1.89? I’m in Buffalo, cheapest is about $2.39. Old pic?

Hold up... think about this.
...the 2004 concept Bronco shows up in a 2017 movie cameo.

Unfortunately, I think that seems more likely to be:

Producers: “Hello, Ford? We’re looking for a retro-futuristic unique SUV for a movie - anything you could loan us?”

Ford: “Well... I was actually just in a meeting where the

You get what you pay for.

I understand the $110k original stickerb but realistically it’s a “lesser than” car (other than the retractable hard top - which I wouldn’t pay more for due to the added weight and potentially expensive complexity) compared to the corvette... so that’s really the fair depreciation comparison.

This is flat out a sexy example, in nice shape. High miles, but a fun second car, and I wouldn’t worry about much if compression checks out ok.

Why wouldn’t you blame the buyer?

If Honda didnt have any more functions to add, somebody could have just made these shortcut buttons to menus to functions in the infotainment system. A hard button for the automatic rev-matching on/off would be great. Or how about an actual volume knob instead of that stupid slider Hondas have?

Also - just to clarify style vs practicality.

Because of complimentary lines. Flattering ratios. The delicate balances that designers achieve. Style. Impression. Image.

Why can’t they just make train cars (above OR below ground) that are as wide as a reasonably long passenger vehicle?

Like all solutions to problems that don’t exist, the inherently Rube Goldberg engineering doesn’t inherently increase the value - no matter HOW much expense was wasted on that non-problem...

I think what he’s saying is only this:

I did a small funky subwoofer box for my trunk, and thought I’d try plasti-dip from home depot, thinking I’d get away with less bodywork - pictured it would go on like those tool handle “dips”...

I’m guessing they are trying to reinvent the wheel here, to avoid patent infringement.

This CC/Arteon situation feels like like the Oldsmobile Aurora situation...

And wood is way cheaper and smells better than burning tires.

It was a stylish car that at least eliminated the terrible handling of the Prius, and had a nice interior, at the right price.
