SOMST is an outstanding and oft-overlooked EP!
So far so good. This is definitely their best record since Futures. Chase, Invented, and Damage just got too predictable and forgettable, save for a few standout tracks.
EWBAITE has very slowly blown me away. It's definitely my #3 as far as Weezer goes. Solid tracks from beginning to end.
I don't mean they share a wall with Beaman, just that Stan lives in the same model they do across the street. Presumably, the Jennings share a wall with heretofore unseen neighbors?
This is the first time I realized the Jennings' (and Beaman's) house is actually a duplex. I always thought it was just a big complex, but only in this episode did I notice individual unit numbers on opposing sides of the driveway. Shows how observant I am.
Henry looked three years older in this episode.
I drive through Falls Church every day. It is nothing like as depicted on the show. Probably my only gripe with The Americans is how obviously New York the DC setting is.
Not to nitpick, but it was mostly the Russian Empire in WWI. The October Revolution happened during the last year of the war.
Anyone ever see the Black Cauldron segment of a walking tour that somehow survived for years at Tokyo Disneyland? I'm amazed they only got rid of it (I think) within the last ten years.
Then again, who says it's separate? We know how this shows goes. We'll find out in season 5 it's all interconnected.
Daniel is as Daniel is. He's a delightful Spaniard. One time when I saw them live, Daniel translated all of "Fruit Fly" into Spanish during the first verse just for kicks and giggles.
The history behind the Proximity Effect era is very interesting for them. They had to wait ages to get the rights to it and release in the US. All in all, it's the album that got me back into NS after High/Low was meh.
I think Let Go is one of the best albums in my entire collection and easily the best Nada Surf album. It's an incredibly complex, varied, and confident effort. There's not a weak track on the list (yes, even including La Pour Ça).
I've probably seen Nada Surf live more than any other band, and they put on a wonderful show. Pity they've basically stopped playing "Popular" at this point. (They still did it as recently as the tour for "Lucky.") However, with an expanding catalogue, something has to give. I've always appreciated that they aren't…
*Credit score of 25. Just 25.
Was it as good or better than Beauty and the Beast, Up, and Toy Story 3? Yep. It should be there.

Those final infirmary scenes alone should have given Hanks the Oscar for Philips.
The submarine toy was super hard to find.
