Gold.

I LOVED MASK as a kid. I still have dozens of those toys in my garage.

Yes to it being a delightfully happy show in the middle of the morose golden age of television. No to it being even a tenth as witty and clever as Parks.

And the beauty of that being Rory Gilmore is his real-life wife.

Methinks Diana is going to shoot Don at series' end.

I love this show and my only complaint is how obviously NYC their shooting locations are. Shooting in DC can be more complicated, so I get it, but I work in Falls Church and those Jennings sure don't live in Falls Church.

Frogs!!

Amen. The late 2000s were like few other periods I can remember, at least for NBC. Great comedies that all had crap ratings, but it was the best NBC could hope for at the time. None of those shows would have lasted on other networks.

Drat. No Brendanawicz cameo. I would have loved it to come full circle.

I just watched S8 & 9 of The Office for the first time since they aired. Season 8 wasn't as completely terrible as I remember it being, and it works as an ensemble comedy, but the quality slides as the season wears on, with Andy becoming increasingly manic and annoying, Robert California decidedly not being the creepy

It'll be the closing scene, as Leslie arrives in DC to start her training. She'll walk into the room with Mark standing at the helm,

They are going down swinging and swinging hard and I love it. Give the dang show its Emmy finally.

What Eddie said. Tickets are usually free and easy to pick up. It's fun, even if the show is lame. When I was a young teenager I sat through a taping of Saved By the Bell: the New Class. Horrible show. Still a fun day.

I used to mock these guys when I grew up going to tapings. Really enjoyed seeing this all from the perspective of the comedian. Great article.

And for an example of what would happen if the "woo" or "applause" sign went haywire:

Bear in mind Sports Night awkwardly experimented with a laugh track here and there. Watching it many years removed and having grown accustomed to single-camera sitcoms, it is extremely strange to witness.

1. Pinkerton
2. Blue Album
3. Maladroit
4-8 Who cares

Rough coincidence having a wildfire as a key plot device given everything going on in San Diego. No one could have planned of it, of course, but since I have lots of family in San Diego, all it did was call me out of the show and into reality.

Yeah, straight up West Wing walk-and-talk. I doubt that'd remain permanently, but I'm sure Schur (puns!) did it intentionally just this once.

Loved the very subtle 2nd Ave subway reference.
