I think forgiveness is for the victim, not the perpetrator. The perpetrator benefits from forgiveness for sure, but letting go of shitty things others do to you is how you live your life without bitterness killing you.

I guess you could argue it's a part of patriarchy where men with power are able to get sex from women who want advancement or some other advantage. I dunno, I mean, I don't like coercion and there are men who are predators in power. But there's also women who will use sex to blackmail famous people or people in power.
