The idea of the past protagnist needing to be a blood relative of the present protagonist went away during Black Flag. IIRC you get to play as Kassandra or Alexios because you find the spear in the present and it has their DNA/genetic memory/whatever on it.

That hasn’t been true for awhile now. Layla can enter anyone’s memories including people she’s not related to. And she got DNA for Kassandra/Alexios for their spear, not from a descendant.

The solution to this kind of shit really isn’t that hard. When the NBA got tired of bench clearing brawls they put in a rule that says if a player even leaves the bench area during a fight, BOOM automatic suspension and fine.....The same with the NHL......As a result you hardly ever see bench clearing altercations…
