+1 this was a great track, mate.
+1 this was a great track, mate.
Just heard this song in the supermarket and though I'm not a pop music kind of girl and otherwise can't stand Cyndi Lauper, I like this song and I'm gonna let this one go without jusgement. :) Hope everyone is well.
LOL! As a Muse fan I can't imagine anybody that doesn't get them, but I feel that way about AC/DC and Imagine Dragons, so I can at least empathise. :)
+1 good post, mate. Forgot how much I loved this song, and how adorable Kurt Cobain was with brown hair....
Muse released a new song from a forthcoming album today. I'm not crazy about it, I like the music but I think the lyrics are crap, though I get the point, I wish it would have been said a bit more eloquently from a guy like Bellamy who can be such a great lyricist. Opposing opinions welcome. :)
Grizzly Bear is one half of Department of Eagles. Both bands defy label by genre. Have fun. :)
I never heard of KOL until they huge and unavoidable, I was a late bloomer to that game. Even then, I never appreciated them fully until I saw the documentary about them and their family. If you haven't seen it you should, it's fabulous on many levels.
Love it! I've never seen one played live before, it's on the list of musical accomplishments I still have to achieve. :)
+1 WHat a great song! I was hesitant to like it, I'm not big on the Talking Heads, but this track was really good, all aspects of it, music, lyrics, vocals.
Cheers everyone! Hope you're all well. Just got back yesterday from Arizona, my first viewing of the West Side of the U.S. of A. So for that, here's this:
Haha! :P
Nice! My nose is pierced too, but different environment up here. See us northern Yankee Doodle Dandies up here perceive places like Tennessee to be more "true southerners"and New Orleans like it's another world. We go to NOLA to party and experience the culture because its not like anywhere else in the country. And to…
+1 I don't know enough about this chap, need to listen to him more, but it does seem like he gets better with time, you can see the progression through subsequent releases. Good post.
I was going to mention you should watch that doc, luv4allmuzik beat me to it, cuz music people are just good like that. That film to me really captures the spirit of the place, it's beautiful to watch and listen to. Definitely put that on your to-do list soon, I think you'll really appreciate it, esp. living in that…
Oh my. Never heard this. Very, very good! And original.
LOL! I've only been to Nashville and Memphis so I never had that problem in Tennessee. Spent my whole adult life in Cleveland, and then over in London, being where there's zero black people is a bit of a culture shock. Makes me feel like I'm at a Klan rally, but because I fall under the category of "cracker", the only…
Ive always perceived Lyle to be what I would call "alt-country", sort of the beginning of it? Obviously somebody jump in if you think I'm wrong on that, but I've always been fond of him and not considerd him country in the vein of what was being called country then.
And to salvage rap music's reputation from our initial post (sorry, mate, I thought that was awful) here is my contribution:
All the fault of MichaelDean and my friend Megan that I'm listening to so much country music as of late. For everything I don't like about country, Steve Earle is not that:
+1 HAHAHAHAHA!!!!
