As a sidenote, you should watch the film "Cold In July", came out last year. It's not for the faint of heart so if really awful human characteristics bother you, don't watch it, but if not, it's worth seeing for Don Johnson alone, he nails his character and makes the film.

+1 nice to be reminded just how good he was.

This song has been bouncing around in my head all day. Also a good driving song. Ohio weather has dictated to me that I can now be outdoors without shivering, so I'm going to test that theory. Have a good night everyone!

LOL! I think uni, er....college football seems to be more popular in the wide open spaces, like south and west U.S. because there's so few "local" pro teams. Everything to me is a "space" issue, thanks England. :) So many southern states Alabama, Mississipii, Wyoming, etc. have no pro teams so they all support the

The wind in the Netherlands almost ruined our holiday. You'd get your buzz on, walk outside and lose it iwthin 30 seconds, the wind was so bloody cold. Wind chill was about -10 when we were there. In Fahrenheit. The college teams around here are fairly popular as well, everyone is a bloody Ohio State fan. I'm not, but

Absolutely we do laugh at that! Those Brits were the same way, half an inch of snow and everybody freaks out, nervous about driving, etc. All of London would shut down. I would probably die in Texas, part of why I left Cleveland was because I couldn't stand the summers. Anything above 75 and I'm bitching. I hide in

I never thought of folk that way, I guess I always thought I was the only one who just couldn't take it, most everyone else I know will at least listen to some of it. As much as I personally don't like it, I do understand why it's important and what's good about it, so at least I'm willing to admit that! :)

So you've been hit with the cold too, it seems like the whole country has been. I've been stuck in the house a lot since I"ve been back, we've had so many negative temperatures none of my friends want to leave their homes unless they absolutely have to and too cold for me to wait for a bus, kids been styaing home from

Wow, that is different! You actually get snow in Texas?!?! Ohio is very flat, we get some hills but the whole area around the Great Lakes pretty much looks the same until you get into Pennsylvania where they have serious hills, or south into West Virginia where the mountains start to happen. Driving from Cleveland to

I'm gonna admit that I cannot stand Mumford & Sons, I have a feeling I'm the only person left in the world over 30 who doesn't like them. And before you guys throw something at me I'll show myself out. :)

That took a LOT to get used to. Nothing is on a grid, and it takes 5 minutes for an English person to give you directions to a place that's half a mile away. It was just dumbfounding. Now I have to get used to it the other way again. I can't imagine driving 8 hours to get anywhere. I've done it but to me it's so

Wow, what a great experience for you, mate. He really can make any song sound delicious no matter how the music behind him plays out.

Liked the second track, you posted, probably because I'm a big fan of J&MC, lol! +1

This chap Jay Electronica has a bit of an interesting background, had been having an affair with Kate Rothschild, an heiress to the Guinness fortune. She was married to another wealthy socialite, Ben Goldsmith. Their affair got played out in social media and caused quite a scandal in the UK and a pretty messy divorce.

I'm back and forth on Jay Z and his protegees. This happens to be one of my favourite Jay Z tracks:

My concept of space really got screwed up on that little island. I think a 5 hour drive just to get across Ohio is mystifying, lol!! And everything in the UK felt like there was no room. Like the sea was just around the corner...

Makes sense. A major move like that is difficult and the trade-offs often are not comparable, it's all of one and zero of the other. One of the good things about Cleveland is that it is centrally located so you can get to a lot of other places from here. I have a MLS team in Columbus, a NFL team here in my back yard,

"Fire" was the first song I heard by Kasabian, just knocked my socks off. Glad you enjoy! If you don't already know, the first three albums are incredible, and the album "Fire" is off of is IMO their best.

I agree. I end up listening to more music that I don't like than music that I do because I"m always seeking out new stuff and having to filter through all the bad. I need to get better about just listening to what I know I like instead of playing researcher all the time. My mate that lives out there, her and I have
