That's what I'm finding out about myself, that I don't like the mainstream stuff, which I always knew about me, but liked the older more "traditional" country. Had none of it when I was in the UK but I now have a friend who lives in Austin and has been introducing me to the country music that comes through there and

I have to believe the right people know about them, in London at least, and I'm kind of kicking myself for not having been one of the right people while I was there. Phooey. :( Googled the film, that sounds like something I would like.

I'm listening to "I Love Black People" now. OMG, I love this guy, like seriously. Thanks for that. :)

That was really the ebst part for me, that he was playing that song in that city. I like that you're from Texas, I insist I don't like country music but almost everything you've shared here since I came in, I like, and for different reasons. Little bit of eye-opening there, mate, that's cool. :)

+1 That was INCREDIBLE, mate. And what a great story!!!

Oh bloody hell, they're from London. Why on Earth did I have to come back here? Any ideas for how to get me deported back there? You're all a bunch of intelligent blokes, get to work on this....

This was amazing. You should get several stars for this. Googling them now...

Sparky and I go way back. +1

That was actually pretty good. +1

My first crowd-surfing experience was at a Ramones show. :)

I'm not sure if or where Ian Astbury would rank as far as rock frontmen go, but I have always absolutely loved his voice and found it so original and unable to be imitated.

Now playing

As much as I love AM, my favourite English band will always be Kasabian, and some day they will rule America as well. That project starts here, so this is "Stuntman" from their first album:

@phantomplanet - looks like Barry is in our club. To celebrate, here's a photo from the Finsbury Park show last summer.

LOL!! Apparently neither did Becks, which probably put him on the couch that night. :)

http://www.bbc.co.uk/6music BBC Radio 6. I honestly don't know if you can get it here in the US or no. My computer thinks we're still in the UK and I'm afriad to change it back cuz I don't want to lose my access to this station. All the shows are great, DJs really know their stuff and you get everything

Yeah, girls can be difficult. I'm glad I'm into men, women would drive me insane. :P

That's awesome! I"ve never met anyone stateside who knew who these blokes were. What's funny is that my Welsh friends, never had trouble understanding them, but these guys' accents took some time to get used to, missed half the words for a long time! They are hilarious. :)

All right, you get a star, +1. At first I was sure I didn't like it, but it gradually got me. I fought it tho. :)

"It meant something to me in a thousand different ways." I know that feeling, Jack. My first thought was that I loved it on about 14 different levels. Shit...

Oh this is fun too! I just walked 8 miles today, I'm trying to not move too much and you're not helpin', mate. :)
