I promised myself I would cram Kasabian down as many American throats as I could until they were the most popular band in the US, so here is your cramming for today:

Loved this!
This bloke, Machine Gun Kelly, from Cleveland so I have to give him home-boy props. This is "Sail", based on the hit by AWOLNATION. I personally like this song a lot better than its predecessor.
I thought about that more after I answered you and I probably would have been better to say "alternative" rather than "indie". "Indie" by definition he is not, really. I wonder if that visa problem will change any time soon, it's been at least 5 years since he's been in any legal trouble.
Depends on where you're from I suppose? In the UK he would definitely be considered more mainstream but in the US I would think he'd best fit under the "indie" tag.
Welcome. There's a few of us newbies. :) I think its the song that wells up tears for all of us, it's just that good on its own and with the extra flair of that artist added on, its amazing. The version that made me tear up was Justin Timberlake (yeah, I know) and Matt Morris, done live for tsunami victims in (I…
Wow. Never knew that was a cover. Again, thank you!
This is Babyshambles, led by Pete Doherty, one of the biggest indie stars in the UK, both adored and hated by many. This song features his then=girlfriend, Kate Moss, with a cameo on vocals.
Ah! Good reminder I should probably pay the R&R HOF a visit, that place always did make me happy to be a Clevelander, in spite of myself and the Cleveland Browns. :)
Saw RHCP as headliners at Lollapalooza 92. They wore construction helmets with flames shooting out the tops, they were great. Always been back and forth about their music. "Suck My Kiss" and "Give It Away" are the two that come to mind that I really love.
Wow. See, this is why I'm ashamed I don't know him. that was WONDERFUL.
I know very little about Leonard Cohen, I'm ashamed to admit. This Matt Duncan song was such a random, I was flipping through telly stations one night and this song was background music on a prime time show I would otherwise never have seen, maybe "Grey's Anatomy"?? The network actually had a list of the songs played…
Makes sense. I'm not familiar with Thrift Store Cowboys but I just listened to One Gentle Inch. The time signatures in it are sooooo unusual, I very much liked it. The lyrics in "Man I'm Supposed To Be" are what caught my attention, the story doesn't play out the way you expect it to in accordance with the title.
Meh, he was probably getting a lot better ass back then than some green American teenager was gonna give him. :)
I'm glad you find it funny, that's my intention, to try to say what I think as a music snob without being a bitch. I want to judge but not judge, if that makes any sense, and now that I'm back in US time zones, you're all kinda stuck with me. :) To be fair, solo-man-with-guitar stuff, I'm hard to impress, but I…
Point taken, that verse was lyrically quite brilliant.
Did not like "Wolves" but really liked the second track. Good post, mate.
Saw these blokes at a tiny little club in Cleveland right after they released "Chrome". I was about 19, decided I wanted Rob Dickinson to be my first ex-husband, but it was just not meant to be. Still love this whole album.
Okay, I'm gonna +1 this, but I honestly have no idea why. :)
This is a track from a bloke I absolutely adore, also quite easy on the eyes. :) I see him in Cleveland every time he rolls through; Anthony Attalla's shows are always a party. He's played all over the world and most notably done a remix of Katy Perry's "I Kissed A Girl" that appeared on the platinum vinyl edition…
