As a Colorado resident, please let me reply: No, that is not a lot of weed. I agree with Moriarty, in that a good, thick joint probably has about a gram maybe a little more. I would google for you what an eighth (of an ounce of weed, aka 3.5 grams, aka several bowls worth) looks like but I can’t at work.

The only advice that I can offer here (and fwiw from an internet stranger) is to keep doing what you’re already doing. It sounds to me as though you value the active lifestyle and all that entails; and that you started dating your boyfriend under the impression that he was also into the idea of biking, eating well,

Without knowing how long you have been together, this sounds as though it MIGHT be a little controlling and I would not want that behavior (of telling you he’ll “work on” your body with you) to continue. My anecdote is that I dated a guy who thought I needed to lose weight. I had gained a normal amount of weight

At my university we referred to it as the Dan Allen Scholarship. Dan Allen was the name of one of the roads the campus bus system ran on. The idea being if you were hit by the bus you got free tuition I guess?

I call Mr Disaster turtle, or turtlebutt. He refers to me as the same. Something to do with turtle mating/domination rituals originally. Currently I am the dominate turtle in our house.

Yeah! The Hulu Plus password I still use more than makes up for the fact that my old roomie never did her dishes.

I also pay for Amazon and Netflix, but share the Prime and streaming with my BFF, who in turn shares her parents’ xfinity password. I also still use Hulu Plus through an old roommate of mine. It’s a complicated web from which we all reap rewards.

Opinion: wouldn’t it have been great if she had sang Bad Blood instead?

People who convert to a religion are often the most zealous in defense of it. Kristen’s response was very, very generous with a nice soupçon of pity on top, just enough you know it’s there.

I guess I didn’t watch enough Looney Tunes as a kid!

What a doofus, dark red blood-ish color he must be!

I watched this/clicked on this piece because I thought it was going to be a joke... I’ve had a lot of respect for Matt Damon over the years (seems like a nice enough dude, plus the whole teacher thing) but can’t move past this idea of him just ... acting like he’s the only one that knows things. :-(

I wonder because I’m nosy, but how has coming from such different backgrounds affected your relationship, and specifically with your finances? Do you find that you have different attitudes towards saving vs spending? Different perspectives on how potential children should pay for college? You don’t have to answer, I’m

Interesting that it worked for you... I think I might have left it on a little too long and I ended up feeling like I was burning my face. Very uncomfortable.

I bought 25 strips on Amazon for $8. Moreover, there is still a little spotting that happens for a lot of women, myself included, which tells me I’m safe and baby-free for another month.

This was also my experience - that for about 2 months my skin got worse/didn’t get better, and then has cleared up entirely for the remaining 6 (5 years on one, just had it replaced) years I’ve had it.

Graduated in ‘82, not born in ‘82. :-)

Too true. I recently frogged and reknit a sweater I’d had for years - the new sweater is much more me and more awesome. But, a sweater I knit most of the way without increasing needle size (and is now too tight) has just been languishing in the closet for two years. Good luck with the Tilted Duster, and you have a

PSA that the February Lady sweater runs large. I would go a size down and/or check out some project pages on Ravelry for suggestions. Made it myself several years ago based on the measurements, came out boxier than I would have preferred.

Fall/autumn wins, obviously, for all the right reasons: dedicated foods, feeling cozy, sweaters (finally no more worrying about the temperature change between the office and the bus ride - they are the same now - cold), colorful leaves, beautiful orange light, pretty snows, cider, plaid is never more appropriate,
