Too bad it sucked and was barely about Yasuke. Instead of exploring Yasuke in Japan the plot revolves around some some magical mcguffin kid, with Yasuke relegated to action scenes, and any interesting exploration of Yasuke’s Japan experience is relegated to “Haha, an African in Japan.” outside of a handful flashbacks

Atelier games and their titles are meant to be fairy-tale-like, and each trilogy has a subtitle throughline to tell its part of the same series. To the dev, it’s not the Ryza trilogy, but the “Secret” trilogy. Usually the subtitles are also changed around slightly for English audiences, e.g. a literal translation of

People seemingly want this. When they spoke English in Unity people complained that they didnt speak in French accents. Apparentely it’s “authentic.”

The actually cool part of this is that, effectively, Red Faction is back in the control Volition.

But it’s only cool until you remember their last effort was Red Faction Armageddon.

Eh, it’s not that I disagree, but there are definitely quite a few “actors” that made a career out of being mean to strangers, like Johnny Knoxville, Rémi Gallard and Sascha Baron Cohen, through various acts. Although all were controversial when they originally popped up, there’s a lot more work and creativity going in

The sentence about billionaires was referring to the “how much money have you donated to research” sentence in the previous post - because that’s exactly what someone defending billionaires all day on Twitter would say - not that all successful streamers are billionaires.

You had asked whether they should’ve given the money to people that don’t work for them, hadn’t you? That’s what the sentence about charity is an answer to. Or did you forget your own question that you posed in your reply? Yes, streamers do work cushy jobs and are overpaid, and, indeed, giving it to charity would’ve

Upset is an overstatement. Annoyed would be far more applicable, because this is nothing but a stupid ad, and now people are going to act like they’re oh-so-charitable - and yes, those hundred dollars could have been additionally spent donating to Coronavirus research.

Yes, people who’s job is to play video games all day at home really need that extra cash. Their workflow and job secruity is super affected by this, especially those that are partnered with Microsoft, because those don’t already make major bank, right?

I agree. And I find it a bit strange they haven’t announced who the writer is yet - but it is the same director as for the previous two Stand Alone Complex seasons, at least.

Yeah, but it’s also a movie.
This is a 24-episode TV series, and for a TV series, this isn’t bad at all.

Now, I could probably go for a different artstyle, but the actual animation work here is pretty good.

So, you would still support your child when it’d join a Neo-Nazi group and murdered people? Shows what kind of person you are.

And yeah, Darth Vader did all of that as well, and it’s just as problematic there - however, we didn’t know he mass-murdered children and all of that until the prequels and all the extended

Kylo Ren is essentially a Space Nazi that committed genocide on multiple planets and murdered his father and her husband, and is the cause of death of her brother as well.

I’m sure she still loves him after all that.

Herbs are healthy. You should eat more of them.

Yeah, but what’s the point of having all these different sites if they’re all going to post the same shit anyway? Jalopnik exists. They can even do crossposts from the other kinja pages, so the article on Jalopnik about it would’ve been enough :V

No one involved with the “Gainax” that exists now has anything to do with Evangelion, despite this article’s reference. Everyone that worked at “Gainax” back then left 15+ years ago and founded new studios; “Studio Trigger”, who made Kill la Kill and Little Witch Academia and “Khara” who actually owns and animates

But why is this on Kotaku

Does it put me in crippling debt?

Or, don’t, because you’ll have to deal with gamers.
