Hm, I think I actually like the nested replies. Because I can reply to Jesse here: I can't wait to have a staff badge!…

Actually, ZMF left me a very nice voicemail after Ghostbusters-gate, so we're cool now. See, look: http://twicsy.com/i/TAWPe

Binky and Claudia, your interactions make me unreasonably happy.

Yeah, this got cut out of the podcast discussion due to time constraints, but I'll admit, the whole Ghostbusters debacle did teach me a lesson in the nuances of written voice and tone. I never meant to be accusing or condemning in the piece—as I say in the podcast, that's really not my bag—but it came off that way

That's nothin! A girl I used to work with called Snape "Snap."

But she did! Get nominated, that is! FINALLY!

Jinx, Marah! You owe me a ride on Disaster Transport!

Oh man, Boblo! Or as 5-year-old me called it, "Blobo." Once I finished throwing a tantrum over having to wear a life vest on the boats, it was always a highlight of my summer. I think it became some kind of "luxury marina," which, being that it's in the Detroit area, means it's probably abandoned now, right?

Nope. Cedar Point, America's Roller Coast.

And also, in case it wasn't clear by my pussyfooting, I'm not PRO that sort of behavior, I'm just not as staunchly ANTI it. Personally, I DON'T text in the theater, but I enjoy playing devil's advocate, and think there's room for tolerance when it comes to this matter.

Amen to Tadd! (Also, he seems to be wearing a wedding ring. Better take that shit off if you want to get the teenybopper vote, T.)

The connection problems were the first thing I noticed too, Doc. Mitchell's hands never seemed to be where they were supposed to be. I was really distracted by it the first time, to the point where I thought the judges were going to let them have it. Only after they fawned all over the dance did I go back and watch

I think it's not so much the guest OVERCOMING his personality as MATCHING it, or at least complementing it. The more at-ease Hardwick is with his guest, the better he comes across; when he's struggling to connect with them, he gets a little frantic, and that's when the annoying tics come out.

Yummsh, I do something like that, but I throw in bacon, nix the jelly, and grill the whole thing like a grilled cheese. It's awesome.

I had to keep reminding myself last night how much I missed Mary last season… I just kept saying "remember Mia, remember Mia, remember Mia." We just all have to get re-inoculated to the screaming, methinks.

I remember last season the judges calling out Mandy Moore, I believe it was for the "Boogie Shoes" routine, for the sub-par choreography. But that was VERY unusual, and seemed quite awkward at the time. I don't like Mandy much, but I felt pretty bad for her during that, so I'm kinda glad the judges don't do it more

Not every podcast has episode-specific pages, or if it does, it's through an RSS feed, like in the case of The Moth. In those cases, yes, we link to iTunes. But if there's a specific episode page, like with the Slatecasts or Earwolf or Nerdist, we link to those. And now you know.

A part of that got cut out. I meant in comparison to, say, Ro-Man's laser of mass destruction, it's slightly less effective.

Professor Poopy Pants (thank you for making me type that): See, when I hear that "The edge, the edge…" build, I hear Pat Benatar, or maybe Heart, or even Cher. Perry may also be channeling those women, but she certainly doesn't have a lock on that sound. Plus, Gaga's voice blows Perry's out of the water.
