Agreed entirely. It’s mainly about brown people, and finding any excuse to keep African asylees and refugees out. The fact that this particular case involves a lesbian is a bit of a distraction.

“Am I a car?” Amazing.
Do you think the following statement is okay? Because I don’t.
Isnt this pretty much textbook bi erasure?
European states have their problems, but they generally seem to do a lot better with asylum seekers than the rest of the world. I’m from the U.S., and we’re very hit-or-miss.
To be fair being the best place in the middle east is easy, you are a liberal middle eastern country if you have same policies as russia.
The number of people who are choosing to read this story as “Israel denied Asylum because she’s a lesbian” is, at once, pretty telling and not at all surprising.
YOU DONE IT NOW GIRL
Gee, I’ve heard so much about Israel’s progressive stance on LGBT issues. How strange that they would screw up so uncharacteristically!
Israel and good conscience are oxymorons.
I’m surprised they even reviewed her claim and interviewed her. That’s more than they’re doing for the vast majority of asylum seekers who are currently trying to apply.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t this also a country who essentially guarantees citizenship to anyone fleeing persecution from from another ‘life choice’ i.e. religion?
But when that guy stabbed those people at the gay pride event, I was assured by many many many people that Israel was the most progressivistiest country in the world on gay rights. Did....did someone lie?
Look. Let’s cut this guy some slack. Johnson comes from a broken home, after all, even if that’s mainly because he punches and kicks a new hole in the wall each time he goes in or out.
To make matters worse, the woman’s name was revealed later to be Dave Magary, marking the second verbal assault in as many days levied against her.
Better writer than Drew Magary. I mean, the imagery that this guy creates! Red clay dirt! I feel like I’m back in the country!
ESPN jumped right on this story. Stephen A. Smith’s cheery tour of Anthony Johnson’s house is scheduled for next week.
These two should get a room.
