The game does give you more control over the cars, but that's the problem. It gives you too much control. There's no challenge to driving when every car handles like a sports car. The slightly out-of-control at high speeds driving from GTA:IV is what made it so thrilling. You shouldn't feel like you're entirely in

I played Sleeping Dogs a couple days ago just to see if I was just remembering it too fondly. Nope, I still say the shooting and driving in that game are superior, and obviously the hand to hand combat is. Couldn't at least one of the main GTA characters have had some kind of hand to hand combat experience? Boxing,

It's not a matter of getting good. I'm having no trouble with the game, except that the "game" here isn't very much fun. There's no skill involved in anything: the cars all handle like sportscars with incredible traction, the gunplay is just a matter of clicking through your targets until they're dead, fistfight are

I posted this on another article, but it seems more relevant here:

I find that the only reason I keep playing is to see more scenes with the three main characters. Any time they're talking it feels snappy and fun, but the moment I'm given control and asked to actually do something the game becomes a chore.

My guess is a lot of HD video (as opposed to rendering the video in real time in-engine).

Not an launch, you are correct. Last I heard this was functionality they intended to add in at a later date.

So, I'm about 6 hours into GTA:V, and I'm feeling really frustrated with the game. On the one hand it has the snappy writing, crazy awesome characters, and near limitless things to do that we've come to expect from these games. That's all good. No complaint there.

What exactly do you think virtual reality is?

I don't know. How long was it before the game console itself was tossed away? How long before the thumbstick controller was banished?

Are you saying the trackpads will work as sticks and buttons at the same time? Because that sounds terrible. I don't want to throw my aim off every time I try to press a face button.

So then where does the right stick go when the right touchpad is used for buttons?

If the right thumbstick becomes the 4 usual controller face buttons, then what happens when you play a game that requires a right stick and 4 face buttons?

No one's saying to avoid innovation. Many of us are just unconvinced that this innovation is worthwhile. Innovation for the sake of innovation is useless. It has to provide some additional or improved functionality, and frankly I'm skeptical that this controller can do that. These impressions in the article don't

I was emotionally stunted because I wasn't pretending to pick up and have sex with hookers when I was 14? That makes a whole lot of sense.

viewing passively is entirely different than being actively engaged.

Says you. If she's discussed the content with him and is confident that he is mature enough to handle it, then there's no problem.

Then you were an emotionally stunted 14 year old.

Nope. Touch controls are almost universally terrible unless the game is specifically designed for them.
