It is a teaser, after all.

Hell, the damn thing could have a body completely filled with lighter-than-air gasses and air-sac ballasts, allowing it to rise and descend as needed whilst using what are clearly -fins- to swim through the air.

Without any context, I'm feeling misanthropic enough to cheer for the whale.

There's a lot more to the powdered alcohol issue than it being tacky. We're dealing with it right now in the Colorado Legislature, and there are significant issues with it. Sure, one of them is "protect the kids"-style pearl clutching and faint couch-utilizing, but there's a lot more to it than that.

"Husband-Elect"?

Google "filter bubble."

This. Not to mention the fact that anthropologists and evolutionary psychologists aren't necessarily all in sync with the "we evolved to be polyamorous" theory. There are a few different schools of thought that say a few different things.

Don't forget the condescending nature of that idea, which is that people who aren't poly are either in denial or less "evolved."

This isn't a community. Its the internet.

What's the over/under on how long before poly and open relationship type people take their evangelizing door-to-door like Jehovah's Witnesses?

It's very nice that you found an environment in which you are happy, but I do wish people would stop deferring to evolution every single time. The people who write books and push the idea that humans "evolved" or "didn't evolve" to be monogamous or play football or drive a Toyota Cressida do so with very flimsy

Why any Clippers fan wouldn't like Matt Barnes is beyond me. Is it the great defense or the solid shooting?

Barnes would've pulled a collapsible metal baton out of his shorts and kneecapped Howard, and we all would've been better off for it.

Man, that would have been great if Dwight Howard were in the game and he walked his big lurking frame over to Barnes and got in his face and told him a corny knock-knock joke.

Relax everybody. He had 21/14 the previous game in Dallas.

As a CLE guy and Cavs fan, I really like Kevin Love. And the fact that the team is really tearing shit up with him having a sub par season is great.

Yeah, they're not winning with just James and Irving. A Big Two may get you there (hi 2012 Thunder), but you certainly aren't winning anything.

I don't understand what people expected from Kevin Love this season. Is he supposed to be scoring 25 a game and getting 15 rebounds? He is pretty much averaging this year what his career average is in points, assists, and rebounds on top of the fact that he is now the 3rd option when he was used to being #1.

If the Cavs keep winning, he's not being used poorly. The trades for Mosgov, Shumpert & Smith changed the dynamic of the rotations where the Cavs aren't as exposed to his defenisve limitations - but its also obvious that the Cavs aren't taking advantage of his offensive skills. Being a "spot up 3 shooters" seems
