I stopped playing the game for a second because he ditches you but you think oh, I can go get a Job Class. Then some villein sticks you into purgatory. I don’t think a game has fucked with me this badly ever.
The biggest difference in the PS1 version is battles are random encounters. This doesn’t sound bad, except the random encounter rate is insanely LOW, making grinding a bigger chore then it needs to be.
