Even if Hope is alive and none of the allegations come to fruition, this is still an all-too-familiar case of a little girl being exploited by the exact people who should have protected her.

Good. I hope this is the start of an industry-wide movement that leads to better working conditions for all VFX artists.

Eh everything does not need to be a franchise. That movie stands alone fine.

I’ve always thought her abilities were potentially some of the most deadly without being anything too flashy or obviously powerful.

Seems to me no matter who is in charge the only direction this franchise is going in is a self-referential ouroboros.

Oh get out of here with this dumb take, we don’t have to reduce her misconduct to “look! Fat people who dare to exist as fat people are actually bad!”

That line legitimately made me sick to my stomach. People on social media saying that the movie didn’t do enough to condemn the people in charge of the Manhattan Project 100% didn’t watch the movie.

With respect (none intended, more likely), a shitty CGI cameo from Luke Skywalker probably killed that series.

Trickle down theory? Really?

No, it would have stayed in the studio's pockets.

My bud Nic Cage stole the original Thomas Jefferson written Declaration of Independence, and had a bad career for over a decade after that. Lizzo played James Madison’s flute, and now she is facing trouble.

God, these were so good. I have a lot to say about them, but the first thing I thought was that there were at least three moments in the first episode where I thought “If Edi Patterson doesn’t win an Emmy for this, there’s no justice in the world.” Then I paused the episode and there were still ten minutes left.

Oppenheimer WILL return...”

I know everybody is going to point to the epic monster truck escape, but my favorite moment was Baby Billy showing up desperate to keep his sad game show funded, shoving the poor kid down the hallway and praying that his grift goes on.

Haha, Editor.

Counterpoint: we’ve polarized and lost empathy to the point that large portions of America reflexively side with corporate interests. Not because they trust them or have better experiences but because they have the shortsighted attitude of, “Tough shit, my work treats me like garbage too. Stop whining and get a real

I legit guffawed at this - thank you!

We need more reviewers with a deep sense of TV history. Being able to recall ancient 2017 times of The Deuce..... astounding!

“My cameo appearance was less fulfilling than my starring role.”

It’s been pointed out from within and without in the comics. In fact, that tension, and the debates around it are part of what makes the entire thing interesting. It’s gray, it’s messy, it’s not ideal. At the same time, as Scott said early in the House/Powers series, ‘Did you think we were just going to sit around and
