I’ll keep saying it until I’m blue in the face: The Marvels was ALWAYS going to be a failure, irrespective of its quality.

Captain Marvel is a bad film, full stop. Yes, it made a billion dollars, but a massive part of that was women viewers, who otherwise didn’t give a shit about Marvel or the MCU, coming out in droves

The issue I had with Starfield is that Bethesda seemed to be so concerned with making it visually impressive and heavily reliant on so many disparate systems that they just kind of forgot to make a game that’s actually fun to play.

The scope is massive, but the scale is tiny since every “planet” that isn’t a hand-built

I think you mean it’s like walking into a clothing store, wanting to buy a $30 t-shirt, but the store only accepts their own gift cards as payment...and they ONLY sell gift cards in $25 increments, so you have to spend $50 to buy a $30 shirt...so now you have a spare $20 that you can only spend at that one store, and

Yeah, I get that, it just makes things a little less exciting.

I didn’t care much for GvK, primarily because of the Mecha Godzilla angle, but these movies just work for me otherwise.

This is a pretty good trailer and I think the film will be fun, but the thought of the antagonist just being an evil Kong sounds incredibly dull when there are so many other classic monsters we still

I never finished Season 1. The USNC stuff I thought was mostly pretty solid, everything else was pretty bad. I got up through episode 7, the only all Kwan episode, and it is easily one of the single worst hours of scripted television I have ever seen in my 42 years. It was so bad that I dropped the show entirely and

Genvid didn’t buy the rights, they licensed them, there is a massive, massive difference. Regardless, Konami were either entirely hands off creatively and just let Genvid do whatever the fuck they wanted with zero oversight, or they were creatively involved or (at the very least) approved this steaming pile...either

You know you have severely fucked up when the dialogue in your game is so unnaturally abysmal that everyone just assumes it was written by AI because an actual, real human could not possibly have come up with anything so astonishingly bad.

KONAMI!

Depends entirely on the movie, but with the biggest budget stuff, $30 million is actually rather low. Pre-pandemic it wasn’t uncommon for a studio (like Disney, for instance) to spend upwards of $100 million (or more) on marketing for their biggest releases.

And that’s not $100 million of the production budget, that’s

1. Taste is subjective.
2. Fury Road, purely from a stance of the craft of the filmmaking, is objectively the best Mad Max and one of the best action films of the past 40 years. You can prefer the first two, but they’re nowhere near as well made as Fury Road.
3. THE Suicide Squad is the James Gunn’s excellent sequel to

Sure, but break even might as well be a failure, and considering the first one was a novelty and they already blew the only potential villain anyone would care about with Carnage, I could see the third having a way bigger drop than the second...though, that may just be wishful thinking. I suppose we’ll see.

Terminator 2, Batman Returns, Blade Runner 2049, Bad Boys 2, Bourne Ultimatum, Fast 5, Mad Max Fury Road, Godfather Part 2, every Mission Impossible after 2, Godzilla King of the Monsters, Hellboy 2, The Suicide Squad, 10 Cloverfield Lane, Friday the 13th Part 4 ( a LOT of horror sequels).

There’s no shortage.

All I can hope is that this movie cost roughly the same as the last two, sees roughly the same 40% drop as Venom 2, doesn’t even break even, and kills all these Spidey-less spinoffs for good.

Nope, she left weeks, perhaps even months ago...but the timing of the announcement is perfect. That’s A+ work on her publicist.

The difference is all those items were free unlocks in the previous season, now they’re charging for them, and we can assume all the free unlocks for this season will be sold next season, and on and on. That fuckin sucks.

MK9 had Freddy Kreuger and (in the PS versions) Kratos.
Injustice had Scorpion.
MKX had Alien, Predator, Jason Voorhees, and Leatherface.
Injustice 2 had Hellboy, Raiden, Sub-Zero, and the Ninja Turtles.
MK11 had Robocop, Terminator, Rambo, Spawn, and Joker.

MK1's first DLC character is Omni-Man, with Homelander and Peacema

This looks like a proper dumb-as-shit COMIC BOOK movie and I am 100% here for it.

I don’t see how it’s weird at all and this isn’t a casting announcement. Barden is Marvel’s top choice, ok, cool...all of these movies have a “top choice” for all the big parts, that doesn’t mean those actors will say yes or even want to be part of the Marvel machine.

Lionsgate had a list of top choices for the new

Like it was weird when they announced Brolin as Thanos, then used him as a tease for Infinity War/Endgame for 4 years before he had any real dialogue? Or Stallone, Ving Rhames, Michelle Yeoh, and Michael Rosenbaum as the OG Guardians in Guardians 2 to set up a planned spin-off that isn’t happening? Or when they cast

What’s your point? A speaking role doesn’t mean a big or important role.
