Who the fuck in their right mind would or COULD justify saying TMNT 3 is a better movie than TMNT ‘07? Absolute lunacy.

Those McFarland statues are dope as hell, the funkos can go to the landfill.
It would have been more palatable as a film. You could easily cut it down to 120 minutes and lose nothing of importance.
It still wouldn’t have fixed the fact that they don’t try to develop G’aih as a character at all, but at least you could excuse that a little in a much shorter time frame.
I get that, for my tastes though Phantasm is little too plodding, and I find I appreciate it more than I actually enjoy it.
Having watched Phantasm recently, I would take umbrage with that headline.
It’s still one of the best and beats the absolute shit out of any live-action Batman, don’t get me wrong, but Return of the Joker just edges it out.
To be completely fair, I think they’ve only completely dropped the ball this hard twice before.
One, Captain Marvel, because it’s just kind of a nothing movie that gives Carol no actual personality, is super confused in its own messaging, and only really exists to set up Carol for Endgame.
Two, Thor: Love & Thunder, for…
Unless they nerf her harder than anyone has ever nerfed anything or they pull some “the powers were only temporary” retcon, I genuinely don’t know how giving a brand new character no one has any attachment or investment in the combined powers of every single MCU hero AND villain doesn’t become a problem immediately.
Mar…
Maybe none of that does, but I’m sure their continued financial issues and plummeting stock prices do...
The biggest sin this show committed was not ever justifying its own existence.
I hate the argument that MCU movies are just commercials for the next MCU movie, which is complete bullshit...but it’s sure seems true in this case. Secret Invasion only exists to set up Secret War, and there was nothing of note in this show…
Nah, it looks exactly as dumb as everyone assumed when it was announced.
If studios/platform holders/publishers can’t be bothered to give enough of a shit to properly archive the content they produce so it’s easily accessible, especially if it’s content we’re paying for, then it is a moral imperative to do it for them.
Boy howdy, I honestly can’t think of two things I want less out of WB Animation.
The same could be said about the decade of WB as a studio.
If they were “weeks away’ from wrapping, that isn’t an episode or episodes worth of material, that’s individual scenes. Everything is written, so depending on what’s left, Disney could move production to the UK to complete what they can with non-SAG actors and wait to finish shooting Principals when the strike is…
A perfect example of this is Hollywood’s favorite comeback kid...Robert Downey Jr.
I’m not going to say he doesn’t deserve all his success. He cleaned himself up, got his shit together, and he put in the work. I don’t think anyone would or could argue that...but he has, reportedly, made around $435 Million from Marvel…
FWIW, the show was referred to internally at Lucasfilm as “Rebels Season 5", so that’s pretty telling...
I also said “how hard it hits is going to depend on the viewer”, but I stand by it, regardless.
The real shame of all of this...like, literally everything surrounding the film that isn’t the actual film itself...is that it’s a genuinely good film.
The script is damn solid (Christina Hodson continues to kill it), the performances are great across the board (I don’t care for Ezra as a person, but they’re giving exce…
I’m sure they did some, and they probably did the performance capture or VO...but with mocap the age of the actor wouldn’t make any difference.
The live action plates are shot (or, mostly shot), but the primary actors are still used in Motion/Performance capture, and that would be a no-go.
He could use stand ins but, knowing how uncompromising and how much of a perfectionist Cameron is, he’ll almost certainly wait it out.
