In my head it’s the latter: JUH-see. But I have no support for this.

The only people this man hurt with his lie is himself. He could become suicidal from the fallout. Online mockery is brutal.
You share much in common with Trump supporter. Like them, you have a tenuous grasp on facts and reality. I see no distinction between you and Trump supporters. And I’m not alone.
A proper narrative looks like this. listen with compassion verify and then believe and support. This approach anticipates individuals like Smollett and prevents them from harming said narrative.
Again, the black and queer communities are the only people harmed by this.
Yeah, seems pretty cut and dry. He probably thought it would boost his career. He’d give a statement to police and that would be the end of it. He’d get to join the “lucky” group of martyrs who have actually been attacked for their race and/or sexuality and have a story to tell at cocktail parties. Instead I don’t see…
Don’t feed the troll. Check out blackdiamond’s comment history. Nothing of substance and a whole lot of anger. Never makes a point, just attacks other people. Just move on because he will come back forever with more of the same.
Seems like they could easily make the defense that what they did was “street theater” and 1st Amendment territory. They didn’t file a false police report, which is the crime being brought here. It would be pretty hard to implicate them in this whole thing.
Take a deep breath.
They can’t mandate that I go with an open mind. They can’t withhold the food/freebies because I wasn’t interested. The deal is that I sit through the thing and they give me a thing. The deal is complete the minute I finish sitting through their thing. If I ate the free breakfast and never showed up for the sales…
Have your star.
Counterpoint followup question: If a hot dog is a taco, then is a taco a sandwich?
This relationship doesn’t sound happy or healthy.
Yeah, lots of things aren’t meth. Actually, unless my math is wrong, everything on the planet minus one thing could be classified as “not meth.” Justification is easy when there are worse things out there to help you minimize your own vices. Casual racism can be justified because “It’s not like I’m in the KKK.” Sexism…
Could it be that the OP wasn’t saying that it’s only now that people celebrate their vices, but instead was saying something along the lines of “It’s sad that people celebrate their vices now, in an age where we know so much about how bad they are for us?”
Lots of moments in Eternal Darkness, but anyone who has played it will probably agree with the bathtub. It was a cheap jump scare, but the environment set it up so perfectly. Paintings dripping blood, statues turning their heads, the whole nine yards. Unless you were a pansy and kept your sanity meter filled.
Good points, all of them, and well said. Let me ask you, then, what is truth? I think a person’s definition of truth will greatly inform every other choice in that person’s life.
At what point were you addressed in this conversation from a year-and-a-half ago? Seems like you’re just trying to stir up crap. Look elsewhere, boyo.
“Lyfe” is how cool people spell it. The diabetes and obesity are incidental.
Yes, people are free to disagree. I won’t ever shut down someone’s right to express their opinion. But someone having the right to express their opinion does not equate to legitimacy of the thing they’re advocating for. I believe in the right for NAMBLA to state their beliefs. I do not, however, condone pedophilia.
