Oh holy crap I forgot about Breath of Fire! I don’t know if I have it in me to dive back into those games. They were so good, but RPGs like those don’t hold my attention like they used to. Thanks for the nostalgia bump, though.

Agreed. An on-the-fly party swap mechanic would have made that game 100% pure joy. Having to teleport back to the village to swap then teleport back takes too long. There were other systems and mechanics that felt a little clunky or shallow, but the game as a whole is delightful.
I’m leaving for a week-long work trip this week and I had a very short conversation with myself about whether I’d take my Switch or my New 2DS XL with me. The 2DS won hands down. My Switch is nice, but it’s also much larger, has fewer games, and can’t be shoved easily into a pocket as I board my plane, get to the…
That is a beautiful phone! And I love the price point! But the reviews make me nervous. A lot of people seem to have had problems and the company doesn’t seem to be offering much support (sounds like they’re going out of business). Normally I could ignore a few bad reviews because if you get a lemon you can get it…
This right here. The minute you cross from pure comedy into anything resembling political commentary you have to leave the easy comedy tools in the drawer. Fat, ugly, etc.? That’s a comedian’s wheelhouse. The problem is that comedians get so used to their opinions being met with enthusiastic support that they don’t…
Nothing. Not one thing. BUT: A) It makes people feel better about themselves and B) It’s easy.
I’ve rarely seen a post with so few stars followed by one with so many. Good point, well made. You hit the nail on the head and it needs to be repeated loudly and often: Body shaming is not a good thing, even if it’s someone we don’t like.
She smokescreens all that really well by hating all the people we’re supposed to hate. If she didn’t line up with the crowd on things like that Handler would be recognized for what she is: A hack.
My wife dresses modestly and came across some websites started by Mormon Mommies who didn’t want their daughters forced to wear revealing clothing simply because more modest options didn’t exist. I don’t know what those websites are off the top of my head, but I love that Jewish, Muslim, and Mormon people are starting…
THANK YOU. I just finished starring pretty much all your comments here because nodding my head so enthusiastically was giving me a neck cramp. Please keep up the good work.
Your comments attacking the mode of dress of this woman are, quite frankly, disgusting. You think you’re fighting the good fight, but you’re actually just an evangelical feminist. What you’re saying is no different than a man telling a woman she should cover up, or show more skin, or smile “cuz you look so pretty.”…
Those look nice! I wouldn’t question someone choosing to wear something like that. Partially because my family history makes me hyper-aware of cancer and its causes, and partially because my wife has always dressed modestly even though she has, by all accounts, a smokin’ bod. Regardless, you do you. I would never…
When people reply it ungreys people like this. The only way to keep it from happening is for people to stop feeding the trolls.
Can I ask which $139 5.5" 1080p metal-body Android phone you’re typing on? I’m in the market and I’m sick of paying hundreds and hundreds for flagship phones. A nice mid-tier phone or even a budget phone I can afford to replace every year would do me just fine.
I work for a company that issues exclusively Apple hardware. The founder is an Apple fanatic and for that reason everyone in the company except me uses iPhones. I’ve gotten away without switching and I’ve been just fine for years. The only thing I’ve considered getting an iPhone for is FaceTime. I frequently do…
We recently moved into a townhouse with a large, open basement living room. More often than not that’s where they play, and their trains get so long that anything too curvy makes them just tip right over. That’s a whole bunch of headaches, so lots of straight pieces are good for everyone. They’re a bit too young to…
I’ll tell you what would excite me even more than my kids is a big pack of ALL STRAIGHT PIECES for their wooden train track. We try to build these room-spanning transit systems, but the last parts we build are always these squiggly abominations because we use up all the straight pieces first. All straight pieces, my…
I wish I could find a mobile game compelling enough to let me give up on my Switch and 3DS. It’d save me packing one or the other of them on my work trips.
It’s probably just a Monday, but I’m not seeing the connection between your comment and mine. I pretty much agree with what you said, I’m just slow on the uptake.
That’s surprising. Well, can’t fight facts, I guess. I’m convinced.
