To be fair, some airplanes are designed for “wheels out” positioning. I rarely have a carryon to put up above, but once I did and it legitimately didn’t fit with the wheels in. That’s when the FA made the announcement “If you’re putting a bag in the overhead compartment please place it with the wheels facing out so

Wrong. Sorry, pal.

That must be some other Florida. College athletes never get away with shenanigans like that.

All this will lead to is people staying home and possibly dying because they think they’re going to get arrested if they try to seek help.

Seems more “Lawful Neutral” to me. Lawful evil would be charging money to gain access to a shelter and turning away the nuns and orphans who can’t afford the fee. Lawful neutral is more “letter of the law, keep emotion out of it,” IMO.

It’s a tough guy act. No, I don’t think sexual predators should be allowed into a crowded shelter with children, but as you said unless they’re setting up shelters specifically for those people this shouldn’t even be a thing.

True. Obviously women should do whatever they want with their names (my wife took my last name, for example), but going from such a beautiful name (Amal Alamuddin) attached to such a crazily-accomplished woman to being Amal Clooney, wife of pretty actor guy just seems like a downgrade, y’know?

Seems likely, but I genuinely hope the country has learned its lesson when it comes to electing celebrities.

I skipped reading the entire article just to comment that I was in my 20's before I realized Guy Fieri wasn’t just the guy from Smash Mouth.

I don’t know about you, but I can’t enjoy any superhero movie at all because A) Krypton doesn’t exist and, therefore, neither could Superman, B) Radioactive animals don’t grant superpowers. Trust me, I’ve done the research. And C) I WANT TO BE BATMAN SO BAD YOU GUYS. Seriously.

Now playing

Am I the only one kinda surprised that she decided to take his last name? I mean from everything I’ve read about her she’s an extremely accomplished individual and he’s... a pretty man. As always, Fey/Poehler say it better:

Could it be that she was just surprised at how good he is? Not that he’s just good, but maybe she’s surprised that he’s really, truly an amazing parent. We’re talking qualitative observation rather than a binary state of good/not good.

I’m not a metal fan, but darnit if I won’t jam to Babymetal from time to time.

I lived in southern Mexico for a couple of years in the early aughts and heard regueton all over the place. It never made it onto my list of favorite music, but the beats will absolutely make you dance. Sucks that everything gets “discovered” and assimilated/watered down, but it also keeps the music scene from getting

Jpop and Kpop have been “discovered” for a few years now. No, it isn’t mainstream yet, but it’s pretty widely known.

I hate Trump. Seriously, screw that guy. I hope we get the chance to see aaaaaaaaall his many chickens come home to roost in the most public way.

Ok, in internet-time this article is old enough to have been written with a stone and chisel, but it’s super helping me right now and I wanted to comment.

I have no stance. I’ve never heard of frood.

Ok, but what’s your definition of gaslighting? Because I’m still not seeing how that word applies here.

Can you share your definition of gaslighting? Because the one I found talks about making people question their own sanity. That doesn’t seem to apply to telling a kid that something imaginary is imaginary, but maybe I’m not up on current usage of the word.
