I’m right there with you. I’ll probably only ever play this thing in handheld mode, in bed, after the kids (and probably my wife) are asleep. I may dock it to play on the TV once in a blue moon, but I’m planning on this as mostly a handheld device.

Like I said, we live in a world where the squeaky wheel gets the grease. The only way to “fix” that is to move entirely away from capitalism where companies are motivated to placate angry customers. That, though, sounds like a solution far, far worse than the problem.

That’s totally fair. Honestly, though, I don’t think this thing will ever be able to play Wii U games. A lot of the best ones are being re-released on the Switch as updated-remixed-remastered-whatever editions, though, so that’s nice. We’ll just see how everything comes together.

I think “safe” used in this context implies “relatively safer.” You could make an argument that there is literally no “safe” place for money to be. Banks can be hacked, the federal government could collapse, your cash could burn up, your gold could be stolen, etc.
