When the character of Hannah in Girls says something to the effect of being “the voice of [her] generation” (season 1?) I thought: “Hmm...yeah, that’s Lena coming through alright.”

See, I really enjoyed Girls (though the last season was kind of a let down; the finale in particular) but I watched it as satire. I think a lot of it was indeed satirical but after rewatching it and having read more interviews with Lena Dunham, Girls seems like it might have been a love letter by Lena to herself.

I’m a bigger woman who is an adult but still pokes around places like F21 because they used to have fun, whimsical prints.

See also: the temper tantrums the designers on Project Runway throw every time they have to design for a woman who dares to have hips. So glad they switched it up this season and are using models in all shapes and sizes!

I just woke up from a vivid nightmare and watched part of this video and skimmed then read your comment...And I’m wondering if I’m stuck in some in some ultra fucked hypnagogic state.

It wasn’t uncommon for some folks to get stuck on up to three 16+ hour shifts a week (bringing their weekly total to 64+ hours) when I worked at a group home. Though they tried to give employees breaks in those circumstances, there were a number of times when that didn’t happen.

Coffee + Vyvanse = Me feeling like a golden god until 7pm when I become paranoid and filled with anxiety (feeling like shit’s gonna go down at any moment).

I was referring to the cast of Orange is the New Black but I’m glad to hear that Dance Academy is diverse too! ;D I can’t speak to Aussie programming in general (as I live in the States), but the shows that stream/get distributed here from Australia are usually lacking in diversity and it’s a bummer.
