That image doesn’t prove your point whatsoever. It’s bad in China but not Japan, where this article took place. The mask is to prevent spreading germs. Nothing to do with smog in the slightest.

Many Japanese (and Koreans to a lesser extent) wear a facemask whenever they feel sick. They’re not concerned about smog or getting sick, but rather about sharing their germs to others.

Seeing as it’s spring, it’s more likely related to the clouds of pollen in Tokyo.

The face mask IS NOT because of smog in Japan. I lived there for 17 years (Hiroshima, Okayama, Atsugi. The main reason is for illness, it’s thoughtfulness for others. Smog is a bigger issue in China. It did become/still is a fashion statement for some.

My dog (we lost her a year and a half ago) was quite a bit smaller than a Great Dane - but the truck with a cap concept worked out really well. Especially if you have a need to keep the inside of the car nice for some reason (such as driving clients around).

My solution was to get something much slower to drive, and then to allow the slow into my blood to calm me down, it took about 3 years, but I’m a much calmer driver.
