As a white passing Latina in a very racially diverse area, I don’t worry about black men.  I worry about the white ones.  They are the ones to keep your eye on. 

Given UCSD is right there, you’d figure there would be a decent number of black people. La Jolla isn’t surprising but I would’ve guessed Poweay, Rancho Santa Fe, etc.

I have zero interest in religion or churches. Even as someone without kids, I understand why people go. I’m also a Latina. (as someone mentioned already, Blacks and Latinos are the largest religious ethnic groups)
