A growing young family without the means to spend at least $30k for a three row vehicle for starters. This at least comes with a warranty; other cars in this price range will not. Said family will not be in a good position to shell out $500 for an unexpected repair.

Someone already suggested a W body Monte Carlo, which was the first thing that came to my mind. The second thing was a 9th or 10th generation Thunderbird. Look for one with a V8 or naturally aspirated V6 for simplicity’s sake. It’s pure Americana from the overly large body to the deceptively small interior.
$10k is barely affordable. 20K is “inexpensive.” 30K is “reasonable.” 40K is “entry level base luxury”. Everything above that is luxury at different levels.

My wife drives a $3500 Honda Odyssey and I commute on a $1500 Suzuki GSF600 Bandit. Affordable and reliable. I don’t care what anybody drives, but anyone with nicer cars than mine needs to keep their hands out of my wallet.
