Theres a pretty decent track outside Salt Lake City that if I remember correctly was built to FIA spec originally and even used to host the ALMS races. It's been a while since I took a spin round it but it was pretty good when I did last and could offer an interesting challenge of altitude and either heat(in summer)

Technically car is just a truncated form of carriage so if it actually carried a person it could be a "car." Also I highly doubt that this could be manned without a helicopter certification in your pilot's license as it will definitely weigh way over the limit for an ultralight with batteries installed.

The answer is obviously to make something wacky like turning an ltd lx wagon into a mustang, or a regal wagon into a gn like these.

Dang it now you're making me have to look up crappy tempos for my kids to learn to drive in.

If you’re nerdy enough it’s well worth the time for this video. His are all fairly long and rather involved but interesting when he compares things on his whiteboard with so much detail and math.

Oh good I’m not the only one. Aside from the Canada bit.

I met a family in Yuma that did exactly that for mom to drive the kiddos out in the imperial dunes while dad had his banshee. The truck was by far the more enjoyable rig and everybody they went out with was more interested in driving it than the wheelers.

Been in a similar situation myself more than once. It's an absolute shit show and to cap it off hospitals are cutting pay and benefits to their staff that actually work, nurses and the like, so that the administrators can cover their bonuses even with this crap going on. The place my wife works for us pulling that

There’ve been too many. I had a pair of project cars that my mom gave to charity on my 16th birthday (1972 toyota corona mkII wagon and a 1980 chevy malibu classic), there was the fox body mustang that I got to drive once before my little brother decided to play with it in the driveway and mangled the pedal box before

And mount the side cameras at the front side marker lights to give less distortion for the wide angle you need.

At present I don’t think that it is, however the weight penalty of trying to make a long haul truck a BEV means dramatically reducing it’s cargo capacity. Efficient it is not, energy dense vs weight of fuel/battery onboard the vehicle it most definitely is at the moment. Don’t get me wrong I’d love to see that change,

Thank you. You're way more articulate at explaining this than my meathead brain is letting me be right now.

Exactly. That wheel works in only two places, racecars, and go-karts. Having tried to parallel park a car with a butterfly wheel before, it’s an absolute nightmare because it either has to have an insanely fast steering rack or you’ll go for the wheel and it won’t be there, provided you’re watching where you’re going

Or an original 427 cobra. You literally put your luggage either on the rack on top or inside the wraparound fuel tank. It's still be fun though.

You’ve clearly never been on the receiving end of mob violence targeted at you. Molotov cocktails are things I’ve had hurled at me, I’ve been stabbed, had rocks thrown through my windows, had my vehicle set on fire with me in it, had shots fired at me, and been on the receiving end of fists and feet I couldn’t count

Buick Apollo GSX. It’s like Sloth on the goonies to it’s other x-body siblings. Plus I like mine and nobody has ever heard of them but they like to act like they have.

A buddy of mine had one of these in high school, his dad had the xr4ti. Both were surprisingly fun and just quirky enough for his extremely patriotic Austrian dad.

And just like anyone that drives back from bonneville and doesn’t keep the salt on the car as a badge of honor, they're wrong. The natural state of all things AMC derived is rusty and wonky, and that's why we love them.

Just add to your list any of the RCR exotics such as gt40 mkIV, xj13, or Lola T70 and I'm right there with you. Something unique and you can get your hands properly dirty with.

The second person I ever saw die was a motorcyclist that decided to try to pass a school bus on a steeply banked turn with an intersection on the outside of the turn at well over 70mph in a 55 zone. He cleared the bus but hit a bit of gravel and shot off the outside and into the intersection. There was a pickup
