Thank you! There is NO reason to say bless you after a sneeze. If anything, you should say “bless you” to flatulance (‘cause it smells like something is dying inside of you). I preempt it with “Excuse me” to avoid the bless you. This has nothing to do with niceties, it makes no sense.
