That St. Vincent header is some Hunger Games shit.

*biologist slowly approaches El Marinero, hand out*

I'm concerned that my Elizabeth Olsen/non-Elizabeth Olsen comment ratio is skewed so won't add anything other than I agree.

"Don't try this at home, folks!"

Phrasing!

His cameo in Hook was pretty good. Not Glenn-Close-as-a-bearded-pirate good, but good.

It's crushing that David Crosby will never be able to do a one-off Deadwood appearance as Doc Cochran's embarrassing dad.

Smiling in an AV Club indie band Newswire header is so gauche.

Get a brain! Morans

Kitsch feels like the wildcard among the investigators and I'll bet his personal issues are going to erupt in a way that dramatically influences Act 2.

I re-watched In Bruges recently (where he also plays a broken tough guy) and it's amazing 1) how well he played that role and 2) how differently In Bruges Ray is broken from TD Ray.

Also sounds like a case of critics flat out hating Pizzolatto, which is fine but not very interesting to someone who's actually interested in reading about the show itself.

I still think Vaughn's intimidation scene by the roadside combined his signature charm with menace better than any other other scene so far, but it's nice to see Frank getting more room to breathe in the scripts.

I'm going to go ahead and pre-empt all the Broke Black Mountain Paul jokes right now.
