This guy is really incompetent. How did everyone miss all of this mess before now? I mean the Federalist Society is evil, sure, but they’re more in the “competent evil” than this sort of tabloid fodder. This guy has been on the bench, but more and more awful behavior keeps coming out.

The Dolphins have been dirty this year. That first game against the Titans they injured a number of players on what looked like intentionally dirty hits. It wasn’t just bad luck. Of course the league did nothing.

You clearly don’t understand what the term “the base” actually stands for, because what you just wrote is wrong. Even in conservative districts or states, the base is Democrats, not people pulled from the other party voting against their ticket.

Any moderate Republicans truly in play are probably already captured. The anti-Trump crowd will vote against Trump. That’s the trick here. There’s never that many independents in play, and with how polarizing Trump is it’s even smaller than usual. Anyone who will vote for Democrats against Trump isn’t going to go back

This is so stupid. The potential upside, gaining votes among moderate Republicans and conservative Independents, is minimal. The downside, angering your base in an election where your base is highly energized and turnout is your best path to victory, is massive. This is politically stupid, morally stupid, ethically

I’ve seen it. I’m not certain it’s conscious, but I’ve seen people far less capable of picking out bad faith arguments and distortions. Which makes some sense, given in their fields “fact” is generally something tangible rather than something debated, so when some far-right outlet posts a narrative they aren’t looking

Brand new troll account. Pushing the GOP line. I can never figure out why anyone wastes the effort to post this obvious fakes on a site like this. There’s no utility to it.

Angry, entitled, arrogant. He comes off as a rich white boy who thinks he is better than others and deserves better, and any scrutiny or questioning is an affront. He was hyper-partisan, appealed to conspiracy theories, and behaved in a way that I suspect even many conservative lawyers find distasteful. His

It was so stupid too. I hate flying, I hated it before my chronic illness made it absolutely terrible for me. Sometimes I still haveto fly. There’s no gotcha there.

Eh, I don’t know about Wallace. I think he’s falling back on boxing-style metaphors, which isn’t uncommon for a hearing like this. McCallum I haven’t watched or read enough to make an assessment, but given Wallace’s other comments about his daughters earlier I don’t think he’s in pure partisanship mode right now. I

This entire disgraceful event makes me furious. I’d really enjoy giving a few Republican senators some direct attention via my fists at the moment. Immature impulse I know, but Gods know they deserve it.

It was already out of the greys. The damage was done. At that point I believe expressing contempt and hoping it reaches some tiny fraction of their brain is better than ignoring them. That’s just me personally.

Ah okay, like I said I’ve gotten it on Twitter and my MENA heavy feed naturally picked that up, but without much detail. I half expect at least one is from Rudaw given their English content, but who knows.

I’m still laughing over “Mr. Kurd”. I want to know what outlet he represented. Actually asked a useful question, not that he got an answer.

I said this on Twitter (where I’ve been catching the highlights);

Who let this worthless troll out of the greys?

Unfortunately one more need to know; this is all a farce.

Eh, very different game. Hardcore partisans called Ryan a wonk, most people I know who are “wonkish” never did. He can play one on TV, but his numbers always relied on partisan fantasy.

Yeah, but that’s the case for a lot of people in who have the “partisan wonk” background. I don’t think Nielsen is unique in that, which was my point. Also compared to some of the worst charlatans in those fields with ties to Republicans she came off as at least palatable. I watch all the supposed “terrorism experts”

They were reliable. Clinton won the popular vote, by a bit less than most polls had predicted but not by terribly much. For a national poll a few percentage points either way is just the margin of error. The whole idea that the “polls were all wrong” is bullshit you got from some garbage right wing blog. Internet
