Cars from the ‘70s are starting to become more appreciated on the collector market due to their relative rarity and the fact the kids who once sat in the back seats of cars like this Regal are now middle-aged adults with cash to burn.

The CarTalk guys used to say that buying a car should be an emotional decision. I walk that walk. 2 kids, dog and some longer highway drives now and then, yet I DD a 2-door Rubicon and pour money relentlessly into a 944. Neither of those are wise decisions, but I love them each.
That car will never be anywhere as cool as this car.
Always loved the Oldsmobile Rallye wheels. Loved them more after Olds wised up and chromed the area around where the beauty ring was!
Growing up, my first memories of a car was my parents Navy Blue 1977 Chevy Monte Carlo with the 350 V8. What wonderful, big boat that thing was. About the Monte Carlo’s sibling Buick Regal? I totally dig it. Not a lot of cars of that era had T-Tops, and this is a very clean, nicely equipped example. The fact that the…
Dayum. I love to mock GM about the malaise era, but this was somebody’s baby and deserves to be treated as such.
Even the aftermarket Dana cruise control is period-correct. Very popular in the era, and could be installed on most any car. A lot of folks did not want to hang it off the turn signal; glued to the instrument panel (like here) was not uncommon.
Np only because my first car was this.
Fuck it, that is hot. As the former owner of a 1975 Monte Carlo, I have a sweet spot for these guys, and that one looks pristine.
NP - really stunning vehicle. I’m amazed at how the interior looks pleasant and welcoming. The next two decades certainly destroyed the mood with some really crazy experiments in seating and instrumentation. This car has me pining for the good old days!
I don’t know why, maybe it’s the T-tops, but my inner pimp likes this a lot.
If you are buying by the pound, it comes out to $2.95 per pound. That’s a better deal than most things you can buy at whole foods. How can you afford NOT to buy this car.
Given the competence and forethought displayed by the administration with their Muslim ban, I would expect them to flub any Nafta renegotiation spectacularly. Macroeconomics and geopolitics aren’t a game to be played by amateurs.
You want to impose a tariff, go ahead. Just explain to the nation why it now costs up to 35% more to buy the 2018 model compared to the 2017.

Free trade is good for the goose and the gander. Strong economies help developing countries’ economies while lowering consumer prices. Free trade benefits all. Isolation policies like tariffs can work in the short term for the employing nation, but damage both/all nations’ economies in the long run.
70's widebodys will never get old
I would purchase this car, as well as a McLaren hat and jacket. Drive to Pebble Beach and park next to the F1 guys. I’d tell them We’re all in the same club.
It’s a non-thrashed fox body with a v8 and it is a rare fox at that. I wouldn’t have a problem forking over the cash. The lack of third pedal is not ideal, but can be dealt with.
