They’re just bad bikes. People buy them for the whole “culture” that seems to come with one and not for the actual product. I’m a millenial and have owned bikes in the past (before I moved to an extremely bike unfriendly city) but I have never ever considered buying a Harley. I’ve owned a Kawasaki, a BMW and a Triumph

Sure I left out the Arrows and Subaru disasters but doesn’t comparing Honda’s current efforts to those programs kind of make my point. They certainly deserve to be mentioned more in those circles than with programs that most would consider ill fated (eg at least Toyota and Peugeot were somewhat competitive).

This is why I never drive behind any truck with any sort of open load in the back. I either overtake or change multiple lanes.

The Merc leaving F1 thing was a complete clanger spread by Eddie Jordan to get attention. Their works team just signed on to continue with Petronas through 2021 so they’re going nowhere.

Hamilton won that pretty easily but I can see Bottas becoming a major threat for the WDC in the second half of the season. His ability to focus and drive to a plan is pretty impressive. He’s been the most consistent driver of all of them this season (the one dnf was not his fault) and I’d love to see him get a real

The open doors look like the wings on a Valkyries helmet from the front. That’s a really nice touch. The rest of the design is definitely more of the form follows function school of design.

No Bernie no problems. Liberty will figure out a way too keep the British GP, even if it means changing the track. Bernie would have signed a deal to replace it with a race in Saudi Arabia or something.

Bottas has definitely exceeded my expectations. I actually think he might be a tad better than Rosberg was judging by his gap to Hamilton in qualifying. He drives cleanly and consistently and has the right attitude to race at the front. If it wasn’t for his one dnf this season he’d be ahead of Hamilton in the wdc

The South Korean military are one of the most capable conventional forces on the planet. They’d destroy the antiques Kim would throw at them without even breaking a sweat. The real danger would be to the 25m or so SoKo civilians who live within artillery range of the DMZ within the first day or so of hostilities.

I can totally see that. As someone who grew up playing cricket, doing the maths and keeping track of the stats probably helped my numeracy skills as a child. I was fortunate enough to catch an afternoons play at an England v Australia test match at lords in London recently and I loved the laid back, civilized fan

Not surprising at all. Most Tesla drivers are image obsessed idiots who wouldn’t know a bald tire from a broken shock. They actively hate cars and car culture and are trumpeting that view to the world by buying Teslas as a statement.

That might be enough if they keep the weight down. I fear they’re going to ruin this by adding a completely unnecessary hybrid system that adds a huge amount of mass purely as a box checking exercise in the same way honda ruined the nsx

I think Lena Durham is destined to be President at some point in the not too distant future.

You underestimate the awesomeness of our president. He’s probably got a bunch of slick, well considered twitter burns lined up that would make stay pufft in Pyongyang melt in shame.

Yeah me too. I’ve always felt carbon fiber is an inferior trim material to some sort of metal. Most of the stuff is coated in a tonne of clear coat which makes it look cheap and plasticky. About the only time I’ve actually felt ok about carbon fiber is when I sat in a Bmw m2 which has raw, uncoated cf which actually

Yes but all allocations through the end of 2018 are sold out. One of my colleagues at work ordered one in Jan 2017 and he’s looking at a mid-late 2018 delivery. Porsche VIPs (people that have bought at least 2 GT/918 cars in the last 10 years) got early dibs on the early allocations and all of the PTS slots. It

I’m not a fan of the exposed cf so I’ll do a simple blacked out one to keep it classy. I’d also skip the weissach package (pretty sure I won’t notice the 200g lighter paddles lol) but go with the full LED headlights, full leather interior, sport chrono and the nose lifter. $305,000 which almost seems like good value

The configurator’s up. This how I’d take it (not a fan of the exposed cf - I think black hides it well).

I think that the Alpine is in the right power and performance envelope to be great with a 6MT but I’m not going to make a blanket statement about “all sports cars” needing one - that’s generally for people who either haven’t driven a modern high performance car at 10/10ths on a track or aren’t good enough to get the

They’ve been sold out since March at least. AFAIK you can’t order a new one at a dealer at this point. I wonder what secondary market prices will end up looking like. Porsche’s likely to take a really dim view of people flipping their GT2RS or their allocation spot (if that was even possible) but I’m sure there will
