I suspect that with Perlmutter and Feige locking horns they inadvertently kept each other from interfering too much with the people who did the work of making the movies, so writers were able to write and directors were able to direct and overall the movies came out better.

I think it’s fair to assert that their quality was despite Perlmutter, not because of him.

What’s happening here (or actually what happened 4 years ago) is that culture tends toward short term obsessions. For about half a decade, the MCU was one of those obsessions. It ended, appropriately, with Endgame, and since then people have been peeling away because there was never any chance that superhero movies,

Perlmutter was probably the guy Marvel needed at the time, much like Eisner was the guy Disney needed at the time: someone to cut costs when the company was in financial trouble.

This is my favourite scene in the entire MCU.

Yeah, it is always a good look when your defense for rape is "sHeS a sLUt!"

Meanwhile GotG 3 has already grossed over $500 Million in less than 2 weeks.

“...They’re doing this for 30 years, why would they change?”

Yeah, I’ve found that sometimes you have bosses who just can’t envision anything unless it’s done, which in a creative field, where you only have so much time and money and stuff has to be pitched with slide decks and storyboards, is absolute death to a project (and usually makes it much more expensive in the long

it’s weird to call the MCU and the DCEU a single “franchise”...I mean, when you go to Fast and the Furious you are getting that, when you go to a spin-off you are getting characters introduced to you in that, but when you go see Thor and he hasn’t been introduced before, there is a ton of recognition from the comic

Apparently what really sent Feige running to Iger was Perlmutter trying to force him to not have Robert Downey Jr. in Civil War, despite the whole concept of the movie being a fight between Cap and Tony.

Perlnutter seems like a myopic psycho and that type of executive is sadly present in way more fields than just entertainment. Not to say that creatives are always right or that every MCU project should be able to spend $1 billion dollars to build a rocket ship and film b-roll on the moon, but Perlnutter seems like the

On a relative-to-expectations basis in 2022 some of them did.  Hopefully that trend continues into 2024.

No, the real issue at hand for pro-lifers is:

They love to vote against their own interests to "own the libs."

Maybe they should also criminalize male masturbation and fellatio**. Think about it: Millions of potential future Republican voters destroyed every time someone gets a blowie.

I think the GQP is just tinkering with their “new” process... The first step is fighting about the rules and the refs... and in the end, it’s a riot-off.

Mabye if 2/3 of Americans want abortion to stay legal, they should stop voting for Republicans, who have never been quiet about their plans to criminalize it.

They don’t want to talk about it b/c they know how unpopular their agenda is which is why we SHOULD be pressing them on it every chance we get. Restaurants, churches, shopping malls, walking down the street.... anywhere. If women aren’t allowed the privacy to make their own medical and reproductive choices, these

In fairness, the Republican’s are just trying to hash out if they want to ban abortion at conception or birth.
