I highly recommend listening to the Radiolab episode "Famous Tumors" [www.radiolab.org]

Awesome. I've been thinking about this a lot lately. If people had the opportunity to merge their social media and networking technology with their own bodies, they would jump at the chance, and those who don't will eventually succumb to peer pressure or be ostracised from society. This scares the shit out of me.

Here we go again.

Huh. Well I'll be damned. It actually looks like it might be a good movie. Can't say I mind being wrong in this case!

My Shepard is a grizzled old veteran in his 50's. Whenever I can make a character I usually go for older guys since they tends to add an interesting "metacontext" to the overall story.

chaaaaaaaaaaaaaa -CHA!

Conclusion? Why is it a conclusion? Does it need to be conclusive?

Killer concept, but it looks horrible. Make it look good and I'll play (and I'm not even a voltron fan!)

Making the world a better place, one pointless piece of shit at a time. Now everything will be even MORE breakable!

Yep. I read it awhile back, it's an amazing story, and exactly the kind of surprising creativity I'm talking about.

Keeping AAA titles alive or playing free2play games on facebook.

How do you spell that sound you make when people tell you that they've seen ghosts, or can see auras, or tell you they're christian? If I could spell it, that's what I would say about this.

For me it's more about the fact that it's Carpenter legacy or that it's just a freaky creature that kills people. It's about the creature itself.

One of my favorite stories as well. I have a bit of an obsession with the creature from The Thing. No other movie alien has captured my imagination as much. To this day I like to think about what it is, where it came from, what happens when it assimilates a whole world, do things even know they are things after a

I hated the tumbler when I first saw it in stills, but seeing it in action made me a convert, especially after watching the featurette about how they built it and how the driver was blown away by how fun it was to drive. The only thing I don't like about it is the whole sliding forward to launch missiles aspect. Kinda

The trailer for Carpenter's version didn't seem all that exciting when I younger either, but it was riding on the lingering excitement from Alien, so people suspected it would be good (even though a lot of people ended up not liking it at all). The thing scream at the end though... goosebumps.

I'd be more interested if it supported TrackIR for cockpit POV's.

Just wondering if anyone complaining still actually plays these games. Seems all of these are just old demos or have newer, better sequels.

I'm 40, and I play video games all the time. I grew up playing video games ever since the Atari 2600. My parents and older siblings grew up watching TV, and they watch TV just as much if not more than I play video games (I watch very little TV btw).

Clearly I chose the wrong analogy. The point of my comment has nothing to do with Jesus or atheists. The point was that changing a movie name like "captain america" does nothing to appease people who don't like america. If the movie was called "Captain America-Is-Better-Than-Your-Piece-Of-Shit-Country" then yeah I
