The modern jailbreaks are not true jailbreaks. They are no longer much of a security hazard other than allowing non-Apple apps to be installed.  Which is why they are mostly considered side-loading.  In fact most jailbreaks are removed when the device reboots, and then you need to reapply the jailbreak to reinstate

I believe the current way to sideload (at least on iOS devices) is to create a free developer account and then install them as a developer. They only last 7 days, but there are apps that run in the background that re-sign the app on a regular basis so they do not need to be reinstalled.

Now that Apple switched to a

I’ll wait until I can buy a used one*

Want a mode of transportation that has no electronic frills?

I have a 20 year old TDI new beetle (can we call it “new” if it’s 20+ years old, lol?) that has power lock and windows. No backup camera, Bluetooth or any other tech. It even has a basic single DIN head unit. It was a basic model. So even the most basic will have power locks and windows, since that will be shared

If they really wanted a dongle, they would make one. Heck, they could take the storage and motherboard from last years iPhone. ditch the case, screen and battery - fold the MB over a couple times and voila- Apple dongle.

Wow, someone is triggered...

You know, If Apple were to design a car - I would think it would look like the Ford concept.  The grill almost looks like an intake port for a PC...

Awesome! They can park this “Concept” next to all the other retro concepts that will never be built...

Note to those who have a “fill until it starts to drain” style transmissions -

The real test for sales at least is in year 2+ when the media blitz is over - will putting some cash on the hood like other domestic dealers do help sales?

And now that yard will sell those engine blocks for $200 each...

Or, you know - just get the real deal (Yamaha V8). Slower but cool...

No more expensive?  WD sells USB 3.0 2TB portable HDDs for $54.00 (and $50 refurbished) - also known as 4x less than SSDs...

You may like Panty and Stockings. Its also stylized, but borders on satire.

I also had a ‘13 passat TDI. It was trouble free for nearly 90k miles before it went back to VW because it had the TDI motor VW couldn’t fix, so they shortchanged the warranty. It was replaced with a 535D which has been equally reliable for over 80k miles. Less milage but double the torque.

Nothing will change at places like Twitter and Facebook because there’s too much money involved. I believe that Facebook said that while the Republican party spent less in advertising on Facebook, they had a higher level of engagement than Democrat users. And clicks = money online.

Please don’t tell me you’re getting the one with the CPU from last decade...
