GM models - usually cop versions (like the caprice/SS) have a display that shows idle hours.  Many patrol cars simply sit on the side of the road with the engine running for AC, and it’s not good for the car.  It’s actually better to find one that’s been driven hard on occasion than one that spent it’s entire life…

Until the gaskets within fail because the switch to low Sulphur fuel dries them out (which WILL happen).
