Just a reminder to all those voting that this diesel v6 suffers from the same oil cooler gasket leaking issue that MB R350 that was on here recently, You have to take most of the top end off including the turbo and will have to replace the oil cooler as well in the fix. This was such an issue it had a class action

Get ready to see these stickers EVERYWHERE, from grocery stores, home improvement stores, gas pumps and even car dealerships. Well played GOP, you certainly owned the libs just for those non-existent cheap eggs...

Recently, in Napa, I saw an unmarked Ford Mach-E had pulled someone over on the freeway. No markings or top mounted light bar but it did have the rear window lights and front lights going.

On top of being late to the EV game, its not very fast, doesn’t have any “wow” features other than the “fart-tronic” exhaust, not great range, etc. It’s big, heavy and doesn’t excel in any area - it’s pretty meh across the board. If they were first out of the gate they’d have a winner. But they are a decade behind,

SO many better and (possibly) cheaper options out there...

I love the 535D, have about 150K on the clock. Also drove the Passat TDI until I had to sell it back to VW because of the scandal (they didn’t have a fix for my year Passat - 2012). I used the money to pick up the BMW used. I was able to manage 55 MPG in the Passat, and it was about the size of an Audi A8 (great

My 10 year old 535D M Sport has over 400 ft/lbs torque, which is more than my C6 Corvette, starting at 1500 RPM. It’s not lightning fast off the line thanks to a little under 300HP but will pass anything on the freeway at speed. It’s comfortable, seats 5 in a pinch and can rake in TDI style milage (up to 46 MPG). All

As an owner of a VW TDI, the “fixed” warranty was pretty good. Not sure about the MB warranty for the fix. One hope it covers ALL engine issues, including non-emissions ones.

This issue was oil cooler gaskets (2) that was so prone to leaking (and MB continued to make the motor even knowing the issue) there was a class

the v6 diesel config is much worse maintenance-wise compared to the prior motors.

The switch to the V6 config for the diesel introduced a large gasket that loves to leak between the cylinder valley. It requires the entire top end to be removed to be fixed. Steer clear unless there is proof that it’s been replaced.

I use the same mental gymnastics to claim that hairy guys like me are more manly because of all the testosterone we got. Whatever make you sleep easy at night...

A big one is infotainment system issues and complaints.  Ford’s Sync system earned it low spots to the point people called it Ford Sink (or Stink)

Whose going to pay the premium over the outgoing models? Especially in this upcoming anti-EV admin w/o EV credit.

Van/Cargo van > Wagon > SUV/CUV > Hatchback > Sedan

Also remember, in addition to the mods on the Mustang, for every 1,000 pound heavier the Dodge is, it's giving away 100HP compared to the Mustang.

For those who have been to this airport, it basically consists of one luggage carrousel, a water fountain and the car rental place.  Out in the middle of nowhere.  At least it was like this about 25 years ago when I flew in there heading across the border to Canada

Exactly. If this was a service member bringing over his overseas car (my dad brought over his Ford Cortina from the UK in the 60s) or a government official, I’d have no problem.

But this dude is just a corporate CEO.  He should be told he’s just like everyone else.

You’re using this logic against EVs, but technically, even if you bought another ICE car, you’d be in the same boat. And I’m guessing you’d put the same fight about it being a gas car, right?

You take “multiple annual” trips?  Annual means yearly. How many “yearly trips’ do you take a year? I’m guessing you make “multiple trips annually”.

well...
