Good point about the networking. There are other ways to build that network, but school is definitely one of the easier/best ways to do it!
Annnnd now I know what I'll be buying come White Elephant/Secret Santa season this year.
I was just going to say the same thing, mostly because I thought that the curvature of Jupiter would have messed with the larger moon's shadow. Then I thought about the distances and scales involved and it started to make sense.
Seriously, over the air improvements to the car's programming/performance is brilliant.
Hah yeah, driving a manual I do this all the time to avoid having to constantly cycle between Neutral and 1st. It's quite entertaining and helps keep my mind off the fact that I've been sitting in traffic for X amount of minutes/hours. In decent stop-go situations, engine braking and attentiveness to the cars ahead…
Understandable. Funny that you mention the Pod Race scene though, because that and the Duel are the only two things in that movie that work for me anymore. Probably because I actually like motorsport and watch cars go in circles for hours by choice all the time, hah.
Revolutions had the Siege of Zion, which was pretty spectacular in my eyes. Also, as I mentioned in last week's Matrix thread, it had this shot:
But, they never said they reinvented the wheel. They just answered a question about their reasoning/thought process for designing the characters this way... First of all, OMG YES!! <insert appropriate It's Happening gif here>
I tried this on my Cap One card and it got rejected even though I had slightly altered the image so it wasn't an exact copy of a copyrighted frame... Though I have heard tale of people just submitting the same image over and over until it went through because whoever was sitting there accepting/denying image…
Haha, believe it or not those are just some starting tips. There's so much more to learn, but once you do the sky's your limit in terms of the pictures you'll be able to take.
Yeah, the quality afforded to us now thanks to digital is mind boggling. People can and have shot pro/cinema quality projects using relatively inexpensive equipment. And, as you said, the ability to mess around and take hundreds of shots for just the cost of a memory card is completely invaluable. Also, with the…
Warning, you've triggered my camera nerdiness, so there's a wall of text incoming.
Awesome shots! You've just made me regret not living anywhere near a track even more than I already do...
Generally yeah. If you're going to spend money, spend it on good glass. Quality lenses can range anywhere from $500 to $11,000 per piece!
You don't really need to go to school. Buy a decent starter interchangeable lens camera (Canon Rebel, Sony a6000, etc.), read a few books on composition, the light triangle (ISO, Shutter Speed and Aperture), and your choice of editing software, then go out and shoot. A LOT.
That commercial made me think of this:
