Yeah, The Rock really was the high point of his career I think. The action was over the top but still comprehensible, Cage was just the right level of crazy, Connery was Connery and brought the class, and Harris's villain was an actual character with clear (and essentially relatable - he was angry about how veterans

I really dislike the growing trend of just sticking an exposed touch screen onto the dash.

Most importantly, the research was done sans pants.

Wall of text incoming:

I think this is where I differ from a lot of people. I tried to look beyond the style and dig into the message. You say the tropes were turned on their head for the sake of doing it. I say deconstructing the tropes was the entire point of the story. That is to say, they constructed these sequels specifically to bring

I'm the resident apologist for the Matrix sequels in my circle of friends. I wouldn't go so far as to say they are actively great movies, as they definitely suffer from a lot of bloat, but I don't think they're nearly as bad as a lot of people think.

Hah yeah, that "More please" sentiment is actually one of the reasons I haven't gone to a track yet because I know that once I start I won't be able to stop. I really want to get out there but I also want to make sure I'm financially stable to responsibly manage the maintenance and upkeep that tracking will require.

I love this thing. Like you said, it's a bit down on power compared to 911's and such, but it more than makes up for it in handling and feel. Besides, you can get one of these Cayman S's close to base 911 power (~350 hp for this generation) pretty easily via exhaust, header, plenum and ECU tune if you want to stay

Reminds me a bit of what happened when I bought my Cayman. I know how to drive stick but hadn't done so in years, maybe a decade, so of course a couple of friends insisted on coming with me to film as I was pulling out of the lot to take it for a test drive, hoping for a stall to plaster all over the internet.

I realize this may have just been the result of language differences, but:

I would love to see a reaction video of the guy in the Mustang when he gets passed by this car, while entering a turn, while sideways.

Seriously. Those guys around the 2:00 mark would be in such a bad way during a shunt...

Hah, that's the first thing I thought of too.

On a somewhat related note, does anyone have any idea if there are any Cayman spec series around in the vein of the IMSA Porsche GT3 Cup series?

I know this is going to fall right into the Correlation =/= Causation problem, but that sudden blip in temperature around the 1940's caught my eye, so I went and lined up the dates with some of the larger wars throughout the 20th century:

Expansion of your fun fact: Hideaki Anno not only worked on Nausicaa, he worked explicitly on the God Warrior scene which, considering the original manga design, seems to have clearly influenced Eva design.

"Every man at some point in his life is gonna lose a battle. He's gonna fight and he's gonna lose. But what makes him a man, is that in the midst of that battle he does not lose himself."

The use of the phrase "shotgun launched" and the target distance of 100 yards makes me wonder whether this fires like a bullet or a grenade. If it's actually like a smaller grenade round which is designed to go off above a crowd, I can see this being a decent alternative. That would mean greatly reduced velocities
