An '07 Cayman. This was his first time through the route though, so I was actually driving a bit slower than my usual pace to lead him around.

My cousin followed me up the East Grade and down the West Grade of Mount Palomar in San Diego in his Fiesta ST. Here's a google.map of the route if you want to see what the road is like.
I know I should be more mature than this, but guh, dat Alyssa Milano lip bite...
As good a scene as that is, Buffy has kind of ruined this for me. He was done. He was in a beautiful place. At peace. Then they ripped him back out of it. Kind of selfish no?
Yes, they were getting paid, I never said they weren't. I just don't see what's wrong with people with money earning more money for producing a quality product, so long as they aren't cheating the system or taking advantage of anyone. The thing is, /DRIVE started with YouTube backing and Ad Revenue. Their YouTube…
At this point you should probably just edit in a link to that since it's what a lot of people seem to want to know about...

Chris Harris is also a writer, who worked for AutoCar and Evo before helping launch /Drive. He had money, sure.
Sure, but there are still legitimate artists out there who are being protected by that law. Also, just because we don't like his music doesn't mean he shouldn't get the same consideration.
Do I believe professional actors, actresses, etc., who's sole profession is that art form, perform their craft for money? Yes, because they need to make a living in order to keep doing what they love.
Hah, well there's always that option.
I essentially agree, that if they could find a way to fund this all like Comedians in Cars, I would be fine with it. However, to paraphrase a reply I got from Matt Farah earlier: "People underestimate how difficult it is to get an Ad Buy like Acura's." There's a lot more to finding that kind of sponsorship than we…
It doesn't matter if they make most of their money on tours and merch. The pirating has still prevented them from being paid a share of the profits that would have resulted from sales of their music. It still is taking money out of their pockets, no matter how small.
Yes, but that's a point to point transfer of a single physical product that was paid for to a friend. Technically, you're not supposed to rip copies and lend them out.
Well of course. They post about /Drive because it gets them clicks, which gets Jalopnik money. No one is saying any different.
Sure, but again you can just cancel. Unlike the gym, you can do it online and there isn't going to be anyone there trying to keep you. You just have to be on top of your subscription.
I'm almost certain that the show itself isn't all that profitable in and of itself. Seinfeld is making money because he's being paid to host. Acura is probably losing money to make the show, but they might be making money back if people are buying cars because of it.
Putting stuff on iTunes is actually a good idea, though I'm not sure how the licensing thing works there since you have to go through Apple to put things up.
That's... actually pretty reasonable. They'd still have to fight the whole "But Netflix and Hulu supply so much more content for the money" mindset though.
You do realize that you can just pay month to month, right?
But being sponsored means that you're being paid to do it. Do we have any evidence that Jalopnik is receiving money, and not just posting it because they like the content?
