Having posted in that LFB discussion the other day defending the practice, I kind of want to yell at you.

I went through the same process as you and ended up in this '07 CS. I don't really miss those extra 20 hp the '09s have since this thing is fast enough for the road as it is. If you were to take it to a track then I could see it being a little more of an issue.
So, I currently own an M/T '07 Cayman S (hence my 987 tag) and enjoy the ever loving piss out of it. Easily the best car I've ever had the privilege to own.
Here, you must drive through the Big Basin National Forest. 1 North to the 9 North, to the 236 in Boulder Creek. Eventually you'll come to a parking lot. Go straight through that and continue on the 236. It eventually comes back to the 9 where you can loop back South to Santa Cruz if you wish. I suggest you resist…
As some have already mentioned, the 101/PCH (specifically Big Sur) is a great scenic drive. It's simply a must if you're in a good car and travelling up or down California.
Well I guess my real point was that the veneer of High Fantasy or true, hard Sci-Fi is generally enough to turn most people away at first glance, which prevents them from getting to the story.
While I agree with your assertion that sci-fi and fantasy are way more accepted today, (and that Pacific Rim's marketing was pretty crap) I also agree with Raso's point that the genre is still suffering from the need to remain "believable" or at least socially familiar/easily understood for it to be widely successful.
Is that sarcasm? Cuz I think I detect a hint of sarcasm in there somewhere.
A few years back, I had the great fortune to meet this man while he was wandering the floor of the San Diego Comic-Con before the doors opened to the public (huzzah Exhibitor Badge), and I got to thank him profusely for making Pan's Labyrinth. He sheepishly smiled a bit before letting out a great big laugh, came over…
Yup, I think about that every time I drive the PCH or one of the national forest roads in Northern California... Then I remember what I went there for and grin like a maniac while stringing together apexes (apecies? whatever).
Ah, well carry on then good sir!
This article title was just begging for the use of gorram.
Now, I'm not gonna discredit the game aspect of this by pointing out his penchant for karting, but it was the karting.
Hey if he's using a wheel/rig and the reflex for controlling a spin has become muscle memory, it's entirely possible. Heck, even without the rig, the mental reaction to control the skid is still there. Combine that with the general understanding of how to drive out of a skid and a bit of luck and boom, Bob's yer…
Was going to say exactly this. Thanks for saving me the trouble!
Wow this is awesome! It's great to see Focus showing this series some love. Shaun and Hot Fuzz are easily two of my favorite comedies of the last decade so I shall devour this greedily once I have some free time.
Forgettable? I find it hard to believe that the narrative contents of this game are all that forgettable, especially the first and last few hours.
I was going to say the music wasn't that bad, then when they should have just let the engine do its thing, they laid on all that... rock? metal?
Ah I actually ran into her at Con this year in this outfit. A friend and I stopped to take a photo of who we thought was just another cos player and we had the following discussion:
I was going to say something, but I think this has covered just about everything.
