I'd never seen this before, so thanks for that!

This was actually my exact situation at the beginning of the year, and I ended up in an '07 Cayman S. I too was initially hoping to stay with a new car for peace of mind. After testing the thing though, I just couldn't find a valid reason to say no, especially since the Porsche was essentially the same cost as a BRZ…
And that'd be why the TPC Turbo exists, though yeah a factory tuned (or de-neutered) Cayman would be lovely.
What you did there, I think I see it.
Dem wheels!
Sure, and extremely expensive, but still awesome.
Ahhh, what I wouldn't give to drive my '07 Cayman S there... one day. For now I shall live vicariously through you!
Hah, was about to say something about that. This guy's line made me want to cry. I guess I should head over to Jalopnik and watch the drifting 911 video again to make up for this.
This. So much this. I work a graveyard shift so you'd figure I'd at least be spared large numbers of bad drivers in the passing lane but no. I have to deal with this every day to and from work and it annoys me to no end.
Part of me thinks this would be a fantastic game to adapt for use with the Oculus Rift.
I agree with your views and would like to subscribe to your newsletter.
So I'm only 28 and I just bought a red 2007 Cayman S. Well, I've always been told that I seem to have an old soul so I guess this is just more proof of that...
I heard their first album was much better than their 'first' album.
I still think they could do with better tail lights, and I wish Toyota would sell the actual 86 trim level in the US instead of the FR-S, but I can't help but like this thing.
For whatever reason Jalopnik is the last place I would have thought to find love for this movie, but I'm glad to see I was wrong.
Still, the best part of driving the F1 was sitting in the middle. There truly is nothing like that, outside of some Prototype racers and open wheel cars, and I do feel McLaren dropped the ball a bit by not including that with the F1's successor.
The most impressive part of that Colin McRae video to me is just how freaking relaxed he is as he's explaining his technique while barreling down that dirt road at speed, moving his feet around like someone told him a kitten/puppy would die every time he touched a pedal for longer than half a second. I've got a long…
What thrilloftheride said. Don't lump me in with those people, I used to left foot brake all the time and never once had a problem. The ones who depress the brake absentmindedly have a larger issue, not paying enough attention to what they're doing while they're operating a heavy metal piece of machinery hurtling down…
It also doesn't help that in Forza (or any other game) you're likely pounding on the brake in order to come down from high speeds for a turn, with a pedal that provides no real feedback or sense of deceleration.
Counter-point: If you've properly trained yourself to left foot brake in all situations while driving an automatic, you'll be able to apply the brakes a little faster in an emergency which might be just enough to avoid ramming into something.
