I have one of the standing desks that is moveable, I can either sit at it or stand at it. I use it for both, about a 70/30-60/40 sitting/standing split. Its really nice for colloboration actually. I have a lot of other coming in and its easier to have both of us standing and working on my computer instead of one guy

I’m sorry if you took offense to that. It was a joking comment (that didn’t come off that way) on a subject that I apparently took for granted as most people knowing. I grew up in the north and from the time I could pick up a sponge, I would help my dad wash, or at least rinse the cars after big storms to prevent

You’re absolutely right, my first post came off a bit harsher than I had anticipated. My apologies.

While true and very important, I feel like if you live where it snows and don’t know this, you’re not the sharpest knife in the drawer.

Would be awesome if they could track where trains are in the city and route you to roads that cross over/under the tracks when there’s one crossing your route.

Couldn’t agree with you more on these. Grew up near Rocky Mountain NP myself so I know what you mean. I also recommend not starting at trail heads off the main road, even one just a half mile off the main thoroughfares means less crowded trailheads (for when parking is scarce) and less people on the trails. They’re

Not the elbow! I can’t stand to watch people do that, it makes me cringe. I can stand the general population knowing if it means a small piece of me doesn’t die every time I watch some guy wind it up over the elbow.

Yeah, I’m definitely not looking forward to getting a new one. I’m keeping an eye on prices now and even considering going to another town to get a car, possibly even another state if I find the right one. Not sure the plan yet but I’ll post back once I figure it out!

I’m a northerner as well and hadn’t really thought about this (maybe that’s why I didn’t expect something like this to happen so quickly). It’s rough down here but the city we’ll bounce back as well. It’s just one of those things that shows its good to have some extra savings, it’s never the thins we expect that get

Have to say this is incredibly important to do. Case in point - my car got flooded yesterday in the Houston floods, probably going to be totaled which means I’ll need to buy a new car. With depreciation and the rise in car prices lately, even with the insurance check, I’ll still need 10-20k to replace it (with a new

All oil industry people want to do is pillage the environment and screw over the world. I’m a geologist, I love this industry because at the end of the day we really do try and take care of it. We’re often one of the best industries in terms of taking care of the environment and reducing our footprint (not always the

He get’s Bose, everyone else gets David Clark’s

Wonder if they had to “redo the deck” on that one like the America? Haha.

That’s the trick my dad taught me. But it can stain the concrete under where you’re using it so I recommend the street and rinsing it off the ground really quick with some water.

Haven’t lost my dog yet, knock on wood, but like you mentioned he’s definitely microchipped. I think a big part about finding a lost pet is having them chipped and hoping a kind soul will bring the dog in and take it to a shelter or vet who can scan them and call you. I also have an app called Finding Rover which lets

Ah I gotcha, sorry about that. Yeah that is a bit strange, but glad you got it figured out. That would drive me nuts!

That means your brake light or running light is out. A lot times they’re set up such that when one goes out the resistance in the whole assembly is decreased allowing the blinker to go faster indicating one of the lights is out.

File this one under the obvious tab!

The answer to this question might lay in another more basic question, will we ever fight a “classic” war against another country with armies (such as in the World Wars) or will it be more unconventional gorilla-style warfare augmented by economic and political pressures?

I would have preferred a solid P10/P90 distribution of costs to really get a feel for this...haha just joking.
