I was hoping it would be about her character having gone missing, and there being little clues here and there, but not recognized as such by the characters, hinting that she was teleported away and the Doctor’s and all other time lords regenerations have actually been body snatches all along.

As if even half of the people screaming about it know how to pirate in the first place. A fair chunk’ll end up caving and buying it on Epic once they see their friends playing it. They’re pretending that they don’t care about Borderlands (just like Outer Worlds, which reddit was pissing its pants over at first), but

They’ll probably just pirate the game and delude themselves into thinking they’re taking the moral high ground.

Well, now I’m left wondering where people will direct their impotent rage if review bombing isn’t an option.

Yeah sadly enough, compared to Anthem, which I feel we must, it’s been damn impressive. I only just barely reached level 30 over the weekend, I have ALL the strongholds to run for the first time, 8 or 9 side missions, all the quarantine zones and puzzles, then all of this new stuff to look forward to.

They learned a lot of hard lessons with the first game and got a lot of reps in terms of how to drastically overhaul in positive, meaningful ways during the shelf life on the first one. So it’s good to see them to use that experience right out of the gate to fix some things while interest is at peak levels instead of

The rate at which they’ve made changes, communicated those changes and talked to the community about suggestions and ideas is nothing but impressive. I wasn’t around for the first game so I’m not sure if it was the same story or drastically improved but I am legit surprised with not just the quality of the game but

Clearly their focus is less on the stealth and more on the mythical figures now. I’d expect Giants, other realms, elves, etc. to make some sort of appearance in a Viking-focused game.

I am *here* for this. <3

This response brought me alot of joy today. I was reading his post going “I may not exactly like all of what Jason says but I could have sworn hes done a ton of articles on other studios in similar situations”

And you respond by completely decimating the guy without saying a word, just links.

I’m sorry man but @Jason Schreier wrote an expose. He wasn’t in it to tear anyone down. I bet he is super disappointed that he even had to write the story.

Then they should set FOV/Resolution requirements for the pro servers and competitions and disqualify/perma-ban anyone who tries to circumvent that. Settings should be the same for all players in pro/tourneys, barring any special things needed to accommodate handicapped players.

In other games I’ve played, or at least older ones during that transitional era when 16:9 was becoming the norm, changing the aspect ratio would either add or cut part of the screen. Interesting to see Fortnite only adds to it in both directions.

for people trying to visualize why anyone would run a 4:3 res on a 16:9 display, this image sums it up pretty well, they’re trying to account for the vertical space that’s important in building.

WHAT! But I’ve been practicing with this blatantly anti-competitive bullshit exploit that gives me an unfair advantage over the other players for a while now, and they’re going to try and make things fair 10 days prior to their tournament?! God Epic are a bunch of incompetent dumbasses

I just will never understand people that will defend this game not having an easy mode.

I’ll be honest. All these responses to the effect of ‘maybe this kind of game isn’t for you and anyway there are plenty of other games’ sounds like someone complaining that we don’t need Braille books because maybe blind people should just accept that books aren’t for them.

I’m probably a perfect case study here. Im 45. OAF. In college when time wasn’t a luxury but a burden, I did things like 100% Blast Corps and raise Golden Chocobos. Now with two kids, house, job, yada yada yada, I don’t have time for the repetition. I don’t mind a hard game. I play a lot of games on the “hard”

I never liked games with just one “difficulty”. I prefer my first playthrough to be on easy, so I can enjoy the story, and once I got the hang of the gameplay, then I kick up the difficulty for more of a challenge. But getting that challenge right from the start is a buzzkill for me.
